Re: Disgaea coming to PC (Steam) in 2016!

It's a crapshoot. Seems like some players have zero issues, others (myself included) find the game unplayable. I'm stuck at 10 FPS. You can see a LOT more details, and many more players with concerns at the steam forums. They are blowing up with unplayable reports. I'm running 10 FPS on AMD FX(tm)-...

Re: Disgaea coming to PC (Steam) in 2016!

I hope some of the improvements made to the later games in the series are ported to this release of Disgaea. Disgaea D2 was definitely a more polished experience than the first one (rightfully so, since it's a newer game), and I'd hate to lose some of the features of it going back to the original.

Re: The witch and the hundred knight revival (PS4)

I hope they bring this over here. I very much enjoyed the gameplay, and mostly enjoyed the story, even though it was VERY depressing. Well, the fact that I extremely hate Belda probably makes a difference... I think everyone who played the game hates Belda with the passion of a hundred fiery suns. D...

Re: Super Mario 3D Land (3DS)

Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach. Mario goes through 8 worlds to save her.

If they're using the generic Mario plot... how is this a Super Mario Land again? SML always featured secondary villains (like Wario, who got his start here).

Re: Your First Games for Every System

And it's likely you'll never forget the first time the T-Rex shows up, complete with the legendary stomping effect (well, as close as the Genesis could pull it off, anyway). The hell does that mean? The sampling abilities on the Genesis' Yamaha sound chip was one of it's strong points against the &...

Re: Your First Games for Every System

All I remember is running around with a gun and (not) avoiding Velociraptors. Some isometric shit-fest where I just died all the time. I believe you're thinking of the SNES version. Pretty much every version of Jurassic Park was different, and I have to give the Genesis one a lot of credit; it was ...

Sega Master System: Wonder Boy, I believe. It's been a long time, so I don't fully remember. NES: Super Mario Bros., of course. Got Ice Hockey the same day. SNES: Super Mario World. Sega Genesis: Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Jurassic Park and Disney's Aladdin. Ninendo 64: Super Mario 64...

Re: PS2 classics coming to PlayStation Network

These PS2 games seem to run under an emulator. I have a gut feeling for when the Sony PS2 has finally reached the end of its life (geez I'm still floored by the fact that the console is still being sold today), Sony will implement this emulator into a universal code that will finally allow PS3s to ...

Re: PS2 classics coming to PlayStation Network

and it was also very hard to tell where you're supposed to go. That's because in most of the scenarios, they don't bother telling you anything at all. It was one of my greatest issues with the game. Anyway, I bought GrimGrimoire (I have the PS2 version of Odin Sphere already). I definitely have nev...

Re: Mario Kart 7 (3DS)

The blue shells are in this game and they freakin' wreck the lead racer. Strategic use of a blue shell could easily change the current flow of an entire race; yes, it's that broken!!! :o *facepalms* You know, at some point Nintendo really needs to fix that... The Blue Shell's been broken for about ...

Re: Little King's Story marches onto Vita

I kind of missed out on this game for the Wii, given I didn't even have a Wii until 2010...It does look really cute and all, but I don't know when I'd get around to getting a Vita (as I'm sure I will eventually)... And for random classical music geek moment....THEY CHOSE TO PLAY FINLANDIA FOR THE T...

I hate to say it, but the series has been going downhill since 7, with sporadic jumps that make it appear it's going to be okay (9, 12).

Re: Star Ocean: The Last Hope

My understanding is that the International Version for the PS3 rebalances certain places in the game and fixes some of the mentioned problems (especially the disk swapping, as it comes on one Blu-Ray disk).
