I'm pretty sure Idea Factory International’s CEO is Mr. Harusato Akenaga, who was the former head of NIS America if that means anything to you.

Monster Monpiece already got the stupid censor provocative card CG's. Which was just a major blow in Idea Factory's newly aquired International branch.

You guys just made me lose a lot of faith in IF. Did not know that they localized Monpiece.

It should have given you faith if anything. They had no experience in localizing things themselves and likely put IFI together in the first place to push and localize the games that no one else will touch, like Monpiece. They clearly are invested in the West and their fans there in ways many devs in Japan couldn't care less.

Some people feel strongly over this. I can't speak for everyone but when you look forward to a release and find out it's being gutted, you'll want to say something about it.

Oh no I didn't mean those people, I meant the people who joined just to post spam, slurs, swears, attacks, threats, nasty things about Houk and NISA, etc... that had absolutely nothing to do with the topic. There were quite a few of them.

Yeah man, but censoring stuff is a sore point for me. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt though that this was just a first time release thing and a learning experience. Hopefully, they don't go down the censorship route.

I'm against the 'censorship' and have stated as much, and I'm in no way a new account.

I'm not going on a huge vehement spiel about it though...

Funny how many people are caught up on this offhanded remark that was more of a generalized observation than anything, lol.

Well, to be fair, there were quite a few pages to read once I woke up... ;)

Plus, they could have used a different word than 'everyone'. A lot, or many, or several, would have been more accurate without insinuating that 'everyone' was new accounts.

Sure, but when you're making a generalized proclamation, it sounds a lot less impactful and controversial to say "Funny how a large but unknown percentage of people against the changes are newbs who registered accounts just to whine about it and a large but unknown percentage of people defending NISA has been here for a comparatively longer time."

I'm not a fan of censorshit in any form, may it be Sega's Yakuza franchise, our dear NIS/niche games, Tales of whatever or what have you.
It's disgusting how some companies want to bring over rare games and cut their contents to maximize the still low profits.
Why don't you just try and let them rate the uncut+uncensored version?

Wasn't aware NISA did that with the amount of (game-breaking) bugs they've given us over the years.

There is no "NA" version, there is 1 version that is being released to all regions.

You ever QA a piece of software before? The best you can do is run through your normal-case scenarios and whatever specific code-breaking scenarios you can come up with. Keep doing this over and over again until you run out of weird combinations of actions to test. At some point you have to say "I've done all I can, I have to give it a pass." That's how bugs reach release state, because they either affect 1% scenarios or they affect conditions that are atypical to the testing phase (like various uncommon hardware states).

Okay, so...I would say that this thread has pretty much worn itself out. I've given as much info as I can regarding our plans for the game, and everyone has had ample time to discuss it and give their opinions. Given the amount of bickering and generally negative attitudes being thrown around on both sides, both directly and indirectly related to the topic (and completely unrelated) I don't see a whole lot of good things left to come out of this thread. As such, I think it's time to give it a rest for now. If anything new comes up or there's a strong reason for it, I'll open the thread back up. Otherwise, this is gonna stay locked until release, and if any of you have anything else you want to tell NISA, feel free to PM me or contact us at [email protected]. Before you do contact us, though, make sure to read the entire thread to see if your question or comment has already been addressed.

My Opinion on the Censorship Debate over Criminal Girls

I am not trying to cause any kind of drama on these forums nor on YouTube, but this needs to be said. I'm not trying to white knight anyone or anybody, nor am I trying to look like a tough guy. I'm just a typical gamer who has seen this debate spread onto other forums.

Here is the introductory video. Please watch this first!

Here is the main video regarding this ridiculous issue.

Here are my final thoughts, as well as shout outs to Rednal, Wdog-999, vampko, lopez, and Shizuka. You guys rock! :)

Also, if you want to leave comments about what I had to say, then feel free to do so. I'll be more than willing to read and reply what you have to say. Thanks! ;)

I don't really think you get to objectively decide what is "stupid and trivial". Everyone has their own values, and what it is "stupid and trivial" to you might not be for others.

NakoruruFan90 wrote: stupid debate

Your entire post kind of comes off as "I am obviously right so you guys should stop having any form of free thought beyond what I think it right."

NakoruruFan90 wrote:Also, can I request that one of the mods could please lock this thread, I would sincerely appreciate it, as I do not want to start any more arguments nor drama on the forums.

Oh no sir, you don't get to come in here, start a thread, and then go "by the way make it so no one can make any sort of rebuttal", you can ignore the rebuttal, you can not read the rebuttal, you can leave the forums and never come back to see it, but you don't get to stop it from happening.

What will likely (hopefully) happen, is this thread being merged with the official info thread, where the rest of this debate is happening.

To neonie,

I am in no way saying that I am in the right over anything. It's just an opinion. A rant, let alone this whole thread, is nothing more than just a synopsis of one's own opinion. I am in no way saying that I am right, but at the same time, I am not saying that anyone else is right. I may agree or disagree with someone, they may agree or disagree with me. Either way, it doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. This thread and the vids I have posted are just my opinions and one can choose to agree or disagree with my take on this whole issue. :|

I'm not trying to come across as some douchebag who wants to shove my opinion down everyone's throats. I respect everyone's opinions 100 percent. I'm just asking kindly that the mods lock this so that there's no more drama started. Nothing more, nothing less. Besides, I left the comments section open on the YouTube videos if anyone wanted to comment. :)

If you want to talk about this more, just send me a PM. Until then, there's nothing else for me to say, so I hope you have a nice day. ;)

I apologize, but I really don't see what the point of the this thread was besides needless flame baiting.

You create a thread, with the title in all capitalized, and address anyone who has any issues regarding "Criminal Girls" to only talk down to them by saying what they believe is trivial.

If you have an opinion, fine. Post it in the general thread that we already have. Or in the Official info thread. Whatever actually fits the purpose spreading/sharing your rant videos. Don't create an entire thread just for it and then request for it to be locked.

Seriously, why? Why create a thread for this then? All you've done is flame bait. You say you respect others opinions but everything you've done indicate the exact opposite.

And now, unless this thread is deleted in its entirety, it will always remain right up front (in capital letters) of the "Criminal Girls" subforum archive. Forever to continue baiting in more people to your non-discussion.
