Wait... I saw the first post but I'm confused. So the game is only 1.3 GB and they say that that fills up a 4 GB cartridge? I'm confused.

Go read the rest of the first post.

It's not that the game fills up all the space - that was a misunderstanding. It's that other technical limitations basically make it a no-go.

Originally The_Dood_Abides said there was no dual audio due to file size limitations (1st quote). Then he clarified that his original comment was based on a misunderstanding (2nd quote). There still won't be dual audio and we won't know why because of legal issues (NDA - non disclosure agreement).

Some people have been making the arguments about programming technicalities (i.e. adding dual audio in the original main file when it was originally monoaudio = more QA and debug needed), but that is just speculation. We really don't know. Though the Dood mentioned that English audio will usually take precedent over Japanese audio if dual audio is out of the question.

Tl;dr - Operation Abyss is set in stone, but it's still possibly dual audio will return for future Experience titles.

I'd say it better for Ray Gigant, but at this point I just hope Bamco even bothers localizing that.

That will probably be a licensing nightmare.
Don't hold your breath.

If there was problem including both tracks in same cart they could have just made the japanese voice version a bonus to the Limited Edition as downloadable version of the game or something.
Was really looking forward to this game but after I learned it's english dub only.. Well, I won't be having one of those sweet limited editions anymore.
Hopefully we'll get Global release for the game later this time with japanese audio.

That's not the issue, the issue is something they're not allowed to talk about.
So probably some tangled legal mess. Like someone didn't want it released outside of Japan or whatever.

I see, gotta hope for the best I guess.
Should be no problem if they release "Global Edition" in Japan like they did with Demon Gaze but I guess the chances are fairly slim.

That global version was just NISA's version released in Japan, wasn't it?

It has inverted X/O buttons too and DLC code. Does NISA's version have japanese text too? I own the Global Edition so can't say what's different other than those two.

Yeah, it was a proper full re-release, so it has full dual-language support.
The version we got is technically the "Global Edition" too, except there's not much point to that subtitle internationally when that's the only version there.
