Europeans and their "special" beaches!!!

Postby lopez » Wed Jan 13, 2010 12:08 am

I'm just a nub here, but does Europe have major (brick & mortar) European branches of video game companies like Nintendo, NIS, Atlus, etc...?

The only US publishers that have a major EU counterpart (that I can think of right now) are:

Sony
Nintendo
Microsoft
Konami
EA
Ubisoft
Square-Enix
Namco (I think they absorbed Atari of Europe but I'm not 100% sure)
Warner-Brothers Studios
Tecmo-Koei
THQ
505 Games
Capcom
D3
Sega
Take-Two

I'm sure there's more as well. We also have a few local publishers like Ghostlight and Rising Star Games, though NISA currently handle Eu releases (using other publishers to distribute their games) and Atlus don't seem to care about Europe.

that should be about everything in Europe

Belgium only has 7 developers (wow, that's actually more than i thought xD), 1 mobile dev and no publishers :(
(with 1 of the developers whose last news message dates from 2007, and 2 who don't really make games)

we should get a NISEurope. who wants to help me =D

Hire?

I would have thought it'd be a case of laying out bear traps and placing dirty mags on top of them.

at the end of the day we get shafted in the uk, on everything. last to get releases, special editions have an artwork book and maybe if we're lucky a soundtrack cd and the only major games retailers we have are GAME and gamestation and never usually both in one town.

Spoiler:
Special beaches? Well, I dunno. My country seems to have nice beaches. The germans love coming here and digging holes in them.

Err, I mean...I'm sure there are some nice branches.

It looks like my country has quite a few. That's nice to know for when I am going to work in the game industry.
