What is everyone's nationality, by the way? Don't say American if you are, say what roots you have.

Dutch here as well.

I actually bought my PSP in America.
I'm there 3 months out of the year, so I have time to get some games in
Other then that there's always PSN Store 8-) (tho I've been going through my credit a bit  )

Yeah, that's too bad... most of the good stuff stays in Japan regardless of how much NISA or Atlus brings over.

Oh, and I'm Cantonese by the way, from Hong Kong, though I live in the US.

My grandma is Dutch. She married to a chinese soldier during WWII in Dutch East Indies/Batavia.

Then their daughter which is my mom, married to a native local in a former dutch colony which is now Java.

hmm I wasn't aware of the region being no issue on the PSP ... I noticed on the boxes it mentioning a region so never really checked into it. It has been an issue for Playstations in the past afterall. (Except modded ones ofcourse)
I should check the stores then and see if anything good is on sale lol

thanks for mentioning that!

that's why i didn't include those =D though the wii can be made region-free with homebrew, or rather, it'll let you play off-region games. no idea about xbox, never cared much for it

xbox 360 no idea, but old xbox could be modded.
Interesting re: PS3. Still haven't got the PS3 yet, was waiting for new Gran Turismo / Final Fantasy or some other decent games that fit my liking.
Disgaea 3 and Makai Wars sure help tho
Might even get me one next year sometime... they're decent priced now as well.

Dude, I was just thinking about this region-free stuff.

So a small question... ummm... do many Europeans speak or read English? I picked up Breath of Fire III for the PSP from Sweden and both the game and case/manual were in English.
But, I know a Belgium transfer student who says it's rare for people to speak English in/around Belgium... so???

We all have english in school and such, since it's one of the most used languages internationally.
We in the Netherlands don't have our television shows dubbed but instead subbed, resulting in an improved knowledge of the language. I'm sure Belgium is the same, but cannot tell for other European nations.

As to games, I rarely ever see a game that's in fully dutch unless it's a small children game. Germany however is different, most of their stuff is in german.

Every nation has it's own language so for that Belgium person to hardly speak it makes sense unless he's very active online or internationally (but even then it could be in the other nation's language)
Hope that made sense to you lol
