A send off to the PS2 era of gaming!!!

In terms of the PS2, do you think SW was a great send off to the PS2 gaming era?
*As in this game is a great way to end the PS2's long run*

In my opinion, the PS2 era of gaming has been over for years, despite having games released. I still stand by my stance of both the Playstation and PS2 being highly overrated (just my opinion), but they both definitely had some classics on them, Sakura Wars obviously included.

Much like how Magic Knight Rayearth ended the Saturn's run in the U.S., I'm happy to think that one of my favorites was the last release on a system.

I say most definitely after completing the game. This particular game of the Sakura Wars series is awesome in every way and just think that if this is our last JRPG to hit stateside then i'm happy(though will never be satisfied until we get every JRPG on PS2 in America but just saying for the ones we did get). Though this one is an older title than say like Ar tonelico II, Persona 4, or Mana Khemia 2 for instance but can't be helped if America is just now receiving it before PS2 passes away. I do hope that Sakura Wars: So Long My Love is not the last JRPG for PS2 to come to America but if it is I love it.

Well for me since I'm still trying to get PS2 games I missed this will probably not be my last PS2.

i wish i could agree but SW didnt get a ps2 release here so i'll give the title to persona 4

The PS2 is still getting games this year past Sakura Wars. I'm pretty sure it's still getting the Final Fantasy XI expansions, as well as LEGO Harry Potter and the new Lord of the Rings game, so don't count it out just yet. But generally speaking, this is probably going to be the last really good game released on the system.

I think as far as Final Fantasy Online goes, I think Square moved on from XI to Final Fantasy XIV which comes out for PS3 and Mac probably sometime next year. PS2 will not get Lego Harry Potter but will get a Ben 10 game coming out soon, and some game based off a movie called Despicable Me or something like that as well as the usual yearly Madden.

Agreed, but I'll add that all systems are highly overrated.

Agreed, that was a great game to "end" the PS2's lifecycle
