the new main character should be female. That's the one thing NIS has yet to fully explore for a main console Disgaea (without being shoehorned as some DLC main character).

and it should involve Celestia more (antagonists/rivals). Earth should take a backseat this time. They could invent many new interesting classes/units from Celestia.

No. They can go make another game for a female MC, But not in Disgaea.

While I don't completely agree with more Celestia, I do think they need to NOT make the secret plot twist be about an evil human or about the Human World. They've pulled that plot twist twice in a row now.

I wouldn't mind it taking place on a human world though, atleast partially. More exotic locations perhaps. I was so happy that we got to go to the Moon in D4, mainly because it seemed so different. Also, more Aliens. I want to know more about that.

Coincidentally, does anybody else think a direct sequel for Disgaea 4 could be workable? It seems to me they might've hinted at it with the "Most Want Criminals In the Universe" bit. Although that could've just been a one-off joke... it's hard to tell with Disgaea.

I would love to see something other than the announcement of Disgaea 5. However, my guess is that they are still working dilligently on it as we speak. So, let's be patient dood!

They did that with Almaz.

Although, conversely, a prideful demon who's turned into a human might be interesting.

I agree though, one of my problems with D3 is the underplayed plot-point of Mao slowly becoming more heroic and Almaz turning (and subsequently acting) more demonic.

Things you'd never see coming.

1: A female protagonist Overlord

2: Asagi as a member of the party (so close to main character, yet so far)

3: Marjoly as a recurring character in some fashion (and the only one singing...running gag for her character. She came from a musical world but the Netherworld she is now in is not musical kind of deal)

*personally I would go full on with the parody and have the main character kidnap a magical princess (who joins the pary)

*yes Sapphire in Disgaea 3 was a princess and all, but the classic cliche was really downplayed.

Things I want in this new Disgaea game

1. A female angel MC. This includes a whole new Celestia also
2. The return of a mid-boss
3. A serious ending free of jokes and laughter
4. Ogre Baal as the the super boss and not DLC
5. Also if they make this a Celestia game I would like a feature that you go back and forth from Celestia to the Netherworld during the story and during post-game you can travel freely between the two. But anyway each world has it's own set of Generic's. Pretty they are the same characters just differant appearances.

It could even have a sorta rebellion story but then again D4 had that. But like for the first 5 chapters you perform missions for the Seraph like killing demons and such. Then in the next 5 she teams up with the Netherworld and its Overlord after she finds out the Seraph is a corrupt ruler. Then like the last 2-3 chapters is raiding Celestia and in the end Celestia and the Netherworld come together as the MC becomes the new Seraph.

D4 was seriously lacking. And I mean ENDINGS, not EPILOGUES.

D4 only had two, very similar endings. There were 5glorified game-overs, but I don't count those because they don't happen at or near the end.

D3 had alots. Normal Ending. Laharl Ending. Super Hero Mao Ending. Human World Ending. Almaz Ending. And even fucking joke endings like the Mao's Ambition ending.

In D4, we got two endings that are basically the same, and a few.unlockable EPILOGUES. Some of which, particularly the Desco and Emizel ones, were very heartwarming, but not exactly what I want.

Also, no ally-kill endings? What the hell was up with that?
