Will there be a non-Steam version as well? Just asking.
:)

I'd say no, but I was also firmly on the side of "No PC release period" before this, so I can't say with confidence. I'd bet against it though.

no but this is very good news its way easier to patch something through steam than PSN. idk if i will be buying the first one again even though it has the best cast. The actual gameplay the stupid promotion system yea no I pass on that I still have enough to do in 5 as it is. Really happy to read this news earlier on Siliconera though. This means other titles might actually happen. We might get La Pucelle and makai kingdom the new versions. Also this will gauge a bigger interest in soul nomad and Disgaea in general. The fact it is hitting steam can do nothing but good for both NIS and NISA way more accessible.

I'm gonna say it will almost certainly run, considering how trivial the game is from a computational sense.

Absolute worst case, you'd just trigger a steam refund if you can't get it to run.

thanks for your reply.but look at the system requirements http://store.steampowered.com/app/405900

RECOMMENDED:
OS: Windows 10/8/7/Vista
Processor: Intel Core i5-2500 3.30 GHz
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: nVidia GeForce GTS 450, ATI/AMD Radeon HD 5750
Hard Drive: 2 GB available space
Sound Card: Onboard

i could probably run it on minimum settings but what worries me is the seemly lack of support for intel cards

So will the Foresight/Alchemist Staff glitch be fixed in this version?

The minimum specs are basically never right. Ignore them.

I don't agree with ignoring them outright.
But as long as you're prepared to maybe only get a Steam credit refund (it happens sometimes instead of directly refunding your money), trying it and refunding within two hours of playtime if it doesn't work is probably the best bet this early on before a wide selection of people have tried it.

I hope some of the improvements made to the later games in the series are ported to this release of Disgaea. Disgaea D2 was definitely a more polished experience than the first one (rightfully so, since it's a newer game), and I'd hate to lose some of the features of it going back to the original.

It's more a slightly spruced up port of the PSP version. So gameplay-wise it'll be the same.

Awesomepants, might nab this. ^^ Also hoping some cool mods get made for it. Maybe an HD (sprites) mod, or crossover mods, or... oh god the possibilities, here's hoping for some good stuff~

I would be up for an Overlord crossover.
