If your party is so strong you can breeze through the main story, why is it so important to have the DLC characters for the 1-2 hour (at most) main story, why don't you just blitz through and reach the end game and unlock them again? I mean, I don't see why anyone would be so hung up on not having their character for the 1% of your total game time that's spent going through the main story.

(as for having characters not involved in the cut-scenes...so...that makes up most of your "army" at the start of the game with the extra classes).

Remember the 'new cycle' requirement is met even if you lose to a plot-critical character and then restart after getting their ending.
Seeing as you can do that ridiculously early in some games (3 being the fastest I think) then it can still be unbalanced that way.
Sure your created characters don't say anything during cutscenes, but they don't have personalities or voices for all intents and purposes, whereas the DLC characters are actual characters.

Because I bought them, and for fun.

Its not a major issue, just putting it out there; I just don't see a (need), especially in repeat cycles, for the DLC characters to have to be only unlocked in the post game phase.
Good? Evil? I am what I am; a force of nature.
Overlord? Diety? I wasn't aware I was in charge, I am just the creator.

Well even besides the fact if it is usefull or not or if it makes the game unbalanced. The fact is that I bought them and they dont seem to work.

Does anyone still have something I could do. So they would work.

I would love to help figure this out, but I haven't the slightest idea where to start (since I haven't gotten any DLC). I'm assuming you already tried going to the Cam-pain with Asagi SD, her having at least like 5000 mana, and there's no bill?

For the other characters, I would suggest contacting NISA for support. They have an online submission form available here: http://nisamerica.com/index.php?nav=s

Otherwise, posting on the Customer Service Announcements board will at least get your problem noticed by Houk, if not others, and they can possibly direct you to someone who can help.

EDIT: Also, from this thread, make sure the DLC you bought corresponds to your version of the game. PS3 games are region-free, so it's possible you got the wrong one of NA/EU.

It appears that I have a NA version off the game. Which is strange cause I bought it in store in my country.
Well guess I am pretty screwed then, hehe. I guess there is no way besides getting the EU version for me to fix it ?

Unless you buy the EU DLC, there isn't.
I hear that people pick up foreign versions of games locally by accident every so often and it's almost confusing how it happens.

I do have the EU DLC
Or well atleast I think PAL = EU
But the game itself is NA.

I think I'll try to sell the game and will buy the european version with the money I get for it.

It's ok :P

And I just noticed that my Disgaea 3 is also NA. Luckily I haven't bought any dlc for that one either. And I do know for now I'll be more carefull when buying games in that store xD

Hmm, you should still post in Customer Service and see if there's anything NISA can do to either refund the DLC you bought or give you a voucher for the NA version of the DLC. Worth trying, at least.
