Axel is the only male character I have any interest in, in any of the Disgaea games so far.

Havent finished disgaea 2 tho just the first one ;/ Still Adell looks pretty decent.

I used to honestly hate Laharl, but he has grown a bit on me. I am ok with him now that it is basically canon for Prier to kick the stuffing out of him in the past during Prier's ascension to demon overlord. LOL
Males just tend to not be as cool in Nippon Ichi games(although Disgaea 3 did get the ball rolling with a very weak cast of females and decent male characters), a female main in a non La Pucelle/Marl Kingdom game would probably change that though.

Umm...
I'd say I like both about the same. Perhaps Axel slightly more for being silly and lame at times.

Anyone else notice that Axel has gotten a major story role in every Disgaea game made since Disgaea 2, and his own mode in the Disgaea 2 remake? I'm starting to think that someone at Nippon Ichi likes him.
As for me, it's a tossup. Both are great, under-appreciated characters.

Well as for me Axel is my favorite character in Disgaea. Always has been.

Gonna go with Axel here. I just love his personality, and he's just so dumb sometimes its actually amazing 
Though I do like Adell as well, just not nearly as much as Axel.
