*is more jealous*
I feel that it is worth it to buy from NISA directly, so I will wait like a patient little one until my time has come!

It's... Disgaea 3 on a portable. It's about exactly as you imagine it >_> Give me another 10-20 hours to beat the campaign and get to the new content and I'll let you know lol. My current problem is staying awake long enough to progress through the main story...

Oh, I see.

Disgaea 3 was all right, I know a lot of people really like Mao, but I didn't really find him all that great. I also wasn't a big fan of the English dub; after replaying the main story in Japanese, I found it significantly better (but again, many people like Mao and Vic Mignogna's voice for the EN dub, so maybe that's you!).

Getting to all the DLC I didn't buy and the new content is my main driving force right now. I'm really getting pissed off at enemies surviving with <10 HP and the new Awakened mechanic, though.

Yes I like Mao and his VA, but I love Raspberyl! As for the main story, I don't know how it compares to D4 but maybe you could fill me in on that. Oh, good luck getting access to the bonus features! Definitely something to look forward to in this game.

I just kinda went by instinct and I had a sorta overall understanding of it, but never quite grasped how to tell what was going to break next and stuff.

Too much time plugging at the Item World and solving some of those nastier puzzles in some of the games forced me to learn that. :P
The change to blocks in 3 changed it all again, at least with block puzzles, although they're much easier to grasp than panel ones despite often being very three-dimensional.

When I played the original Disgaea in college, I would sit with my friends and everyone would team together to figure out how to configure Geo puzzles in the Item World, lol. Then I figured out that you can just throw all the blocks on the extra color, throw the Null block on the color of the first block you kill, and life is 50x simpler >_>

Of course that only works if you've got enough symbols/blocks to cover all the colours.
Sometimes you don't so you have to make it a bit more involved.

Well, if you don't have enough, you can't get a clear bonus anyway, so it's more a case of whether you care enough to count each color to see which one has more squares.

If you're lacking an excess of them, you can still often clear stages provided you have the right colours.
It usually requires manually smashing multiple ones during the same turn to pull it off, as you can't rely on them chaining themselves.
