Say what you will, it actually worked. Then again, it's not like the MS issues that NISA is having. We all know how successful that went. :?

Eh, that's debatable. Keep in mind that Techmo Koei doesn't need to bring Atelier to the west at all with how niche it is, if they were half as bad as what certain posters here say about them they'd have responded to the boycott with "lol okay then, you all get nothing at all".

It's more likely that they thought that Dual Audio was minor enough to be cut (and honestly I agree with them), but the fanbase disagreed and let them know about it and so now they're appeasing everyone.

Exactly what I was going to say. I actually feared that - a lot - after Ayesha's release and seeing the comments on multiple websites by the fans who thought they were doing the right thing by boycotting. I'm just relieved Atelier will continue to be released in the west.

Of course there's no way to tell if the boycott was actually needed.
Just a lot of people speaking up about it could have been enough, and seeing as they just seemed to be fumbling with this series, it's a definite possibility they just needed to be told.
We will likely never know.

TK dubs are generally much better than NISA ones.

For starters, TK dubs tend to be complete.

Actually this is interesting to me, NISA barely dubbed Ayesha iirc hence the main reason why I couldn't care less to finish the damn game.

But I've read NISA no longer has any hand in any future Atelier games, starting with Eschatology

I've looked and haven't read any news on Eschatology's dub status other than the fact that it has one, but part of me still has reservations about whether or not we'll see a dub equal to that of the Japanese one in terms of volume.

But it would be a really fucking pleasant surprise to play a fully voiced or mostly voiced Atelier game

I imagine it's a moot point now anyway since they'll also have dual audio again.

Well unless TK-EU knows nothing about their own game, it seems w/e was voiced in JP was also voiced in EN

Hype level has officially risen

But then again didn't TK-EU say Ayesha was dual audio? lolololol

That's more because they got a lot of conflicting information. They corrected it later.
The poor European branch trying their hardest to push a game the American marketing department didn't seem to take any notice of.

I think dubs in general have really improved in recent times, I thought Ayesha's dub could have been much worse and was certainly bearable at least. But I certainly missed having the option but not enough to deter me from buying the game. Well I'll certainly test out the dub for Escha and Logi at least.

I'll find out next weekend I guess, though going by the recent trailer, they all sounded good to excellent. Nice to hear Logy's quality is up there, as I can't place the actor.
