Has NISA said anything about the GUST acquisition?

Postby Zilveari » Fri Dec 16, 2011 10:01 pm

Will Tecmo Koei even allow them to localize GUST games anymore? This isn't going to create problems for MEruru is it?

They already said they won't know until the next Gust game comes out where things will go from there...And since Meruru is the last game solely done by Gust with no announcements at the moment (there is Atelier Elkrone, but that's a partnership deal and not purely Gust), it'll definitely be a while before NISA finds out the terms.

There's also a thread about this in General Chat...just figured I'd say something about that given that Houk will probably close this thread too...

NISA already has the license for Meruru, the acquisition does not affect Meruru's release whatsoever.

Whoops, forgot to mention that...but yeah, Neptunia (IF game, I know, but I don't know if there were any Gust ties with it) and Meruru are in the clear...no need to worry about them. Just future games that haven't been made/finished yet is all we have to worry about...if you opt to worry at all...

Yup. No news on that front as of yet. Things are still getting hashed out, and hopefully we can make a comment eventually. But it might be a while.
