Two games, a single BD and two Platinum Trophies, I could see this game sell to an even larger crowd.

Unfortunately, Sony protocol limits one platinum trophy per retail release, no matter the disc's contents. Well, cool. I'm glad to see some support in this topic.

Just tell SCEA they were originally PS2 games.

I wonder if SCEA would allow some of the naughtier content from the PC version to be released as DLC... obviously it'd take more work for Aquaplus, and SCEJ would probably protest due to the high likelihood of reverse imports. Okay, so I know it'd be impossible, but it'd be fun.

If you're looking at Tears to Tiara, how about Dark Mist? It's a PSN anime-style twin-stick shooter released around the same time period as Tears to Tiara and it already has an English version for Hong Kong and Europe. The only thing it's missing is a publisher for the U.S. PSN store. I suggest potentially high-margin titles such as Dark Mist and Malicious so I don't feel so bad when I ask for stuff like White Album and more Sakura Wars...

How would people feel about a compilation disc of both games on a single disc? I mean, the anime's over here. If there's interest, maybe this is something that can be brought up.

I love Fire Emblem style games, so, y'know, I dunno why this one's been largely ignored.

That would be great! Less discs and plastic cases. Fire Emblem style games are always great (is waiting for FE 3's remake to come over here). As for trophies, did either game have them in Japan? I thought at least one came out before the "trophies are mandatory" phase we're in.

And I must say that NISA wants to localize this game, or else Lyner wouldn't ress this topic, post about it, ask for opinions and even state that games can't have 2 Platinums (yes, they must've checked before talking to us).

NISA would have to create trophies for their localization as its also mandatory in order to release a game here. Agarest didn't have trophies in Japan but Aksys had to include them in their release of the game.

The second game already have trophies, and Ghostlight didn't release trophies even after releasing the game after trophies became mandatory.

SCEE (Europe) operates differently than SCEA (America) It's not mandatory to include trophies in a game's release in Europe nor it required to include an English language track for the game to be released on disc--which is how the PAL version of Agarest got released on disc despite having only the Japanese language track.

Maybe. It's an old rule, and it doesn't even apply to PS2 collections (the Sly Cooper HD Collection is going to have three platinums on one disc for $40). It could be Lyner gathering some reactions so he can bring it up at the next meeting. Or it's what their planning on releasing next summer to fill in the Idea Factory gap left by getting Neptune done early...

Actually, speaking of HD PS2 collections, there's some wild rumors that a bunch are going to be announced at TGS. Maybe there will be something interesting announced there that might not have a U.S. publisher lined up...

That's the problem; if the first game is to be considered as less important, it won't have trophies, as it could be considered as "add-on".

Not necessarily true. I'm just a guy at NISA, not NISA itself. I just wanted to gauge interest before I bring the idea forward to the rest of the crew. And the whole platinum dealie is just common knowledge for those on "this side" of the curtains.

So I'm guessing you can also bring the idea forward to the rest of the crew about Record of Agarest War Zero, right? I am playing the first game and I noticed that the voices are in Japanese, so you would only have to translate it, not even use VA's for that matter.
