I just hope it's not because of the negativity Mana Khemia: SA received...

It got negativity? Why was that?

I think it was just mainly the issues with the UMD, which had horrible lag problems. I think there was also something about not being able to get 100% completion, but I'm not sure about that.

Anyways, I too am really hoping that they release this. If not for the PSP, maybe the PSP2? I think I read an article that said there was a rumour about certain PS2 titles being available on PSP2.

The thing is, it's ALREADY a PSP title... in Japan.

Also, I downloaded it off PSN, and I had no problems whatsoever. No for a PSP game anyway.

-- Scratch that. It did freeze up on me a few times to the point I stopped playing it for a while, but besides that it was fantastic.

Yeah, the digital version is great. I didn't have any problems with it at all. Still bought the UMD version for my collection though.

I'm hoping NISA decides to have the same line of reasoning they did with Phantom Brave. I mean, that game isn't any more popular than MK2 (at least as far as I know), and it seems that one of the reasons they localized was because the Wii version was already localized. Seems to be the same situation with MK2, with it having a translation already done and a PSP port. Seriously, I can't see it doing any worse than Phantom Brave (they have it as a budget title no less).

If Phantom Brave really is more popular than Mana Khemia 2, someone correct me, because I only learned about it when it was announced for localization.

... Yeah, I haven't even played either of them, but I'm going to have to say Phantom Brave is waaaay more popular. In a lot of cases, it's the only N1 game people like, and it's a lot more memorable from what I heard. Not to mention a recent sequel to an already somewhat niche game isn't going to do much in comparison to a more standard (still nicheish) tactics game that's got a good few years on it.

I mean, MK2 was released when the PS2 was heading to its grave, wasn't it?

I guess I've just been out of the loop then. I just assumed that MK2 had a bigger fanbase without thinking. Anyways, I'm still holding out for MK2P.

Really? I thought Disgaea had that title?

I remember PB as the N1 game that most find the worst out of their games

Disgaea's most often the fan-favorite, but I mean as far as people that aren't fans. Maybe it's just me, but way too often I find people that can't stand Disgaea stuck through Phantom Brave because of the story and characters and whatever else it had.

Given how the gameplay has advanced since then, along with all the new classes, I personally find Disgaea almost unplayable (in some aspects) compared to 2 now anyway. It's not, but it just feels... very dated. 3 would be up there with 2 if not for how it botched up passing skills back and forth and such.

I was just referring to Disgaea in general. Not any one specific game.

you might be right about that, but which do you think is a larger percentage of the people who play N1 games? The fanbase, or the people outside the fanbase that find one or two of their games fun?

Haha, I suppose it would be the fanbase. You never know for sure, though.

Yeah, although I think the majority of us like at least something from each company, we definitely have our focus. I'm pretty biased towards GUST.

I dunno. I was always more of a fan of the GUST games than the NIS ones. I've been a fan of NISA since pretty much they started, but the GUST games are what I've liked the most.
