i still haven't given up on this game. honestly, i still find it dumb how xseed thought it would be better and safer to localize unchained blades over senran kagura. sure, they decided to go the digital download route, but even so the game looks way riskier in sales than senran kagura.

senran kagura is an automatic rated m game and only meant for 3ds gamers ages 17+. i don't understand as to how the content of the game would be an issue. if they are worried about the girls ages why not just claim they are older. this method has been used numerous times in the past in a number of things (even more so when it came to licensed hentai which has way worse content than just breasts). in the past they even claimed one specific sailor senshi couple were cousins just to avoid the topic of homosexuality. so, if they need to change a little info to maintain the original content to get something localized and sold then they should do it. this not only should go for xseed but nisa and a number of other companies as well since WE the gamers and fan base expect nothing less. we already know they can't jump at every game requested, they are limited at how many games they can localize and that they are a company having as much money as possible in mind, but when we see them pass up games that could have been very profitable (like the project diva series (and don't give me that the vocaloid fan community is small crap either because the concert they had here sold out in advance with many more still wanting to attend, lots of people imported or pirated the games, they used miku to advertise the toyota corolla and the vocaloid fan community is huge on a global scale)) for games that most likely won't sell nearly as well its bothersome and also makes us wonder what the company was thinking.

I actually think the game WOULD sell.

I think the companies are just more worried about their reputations, than the sales.

that is possible but they'll always be seen in a number of ways in both good and bad.

in the case of localizing senran kagura...
pro:
- they cater to fans and older audience as well
- they prove they're listening and atleast trying to give consideration
- they are not afraid of some of the negative backlash they might recieve for going with a more profitable option. (can be a negative as well depending on how large the negative feedback is)

cons:
- they get known as a company that localizes games with mature content (they wouldn't be the first nor the last)(this can be a pro sometimes)
- they get to be known as a company that takes big chances (this can be a pro sometimes since some games end up being breakout hits)

...
i know i'm forgetting some more for the pros and cons lists, but i'm tired right now. @_@

honestly, i think a reputation of passing up possibly very profitable games that fans/customers want for games many have never heard of and look like a waste to localize is a worse reputation over being known as a company that localizes games with mature content. (we actually need more companies like that since most gamers are in their late teens, 20s, etc.)

Cept for the time being, it looks as if Blanc and Co. have effectively lodged a cap in Arfoire's ass

Nisa already localized MK (HDN) along with the pedophile dialogue . If anything that is WORSE than the content of this game >.>

i think it's better to get it localized anyways, since many of us want english text. i played one of the ikkitousen beat'em up games for the ps2 before. it was fun, but could have been better if i could understand what they were saying.

I would also like to chime in my support for this game. I would pick up a copy day one.

This would certainly push me towards getting a 3DS. I think there's a lack of Japanese-centric games on that system right now.
