I'd assume they are spare copies if NISA is going along with his claims. Though I wondering if him putting licensed by Edge Games on his website was their agreement. As if this was a true copy-right infringement wouldn't they have to stop being sold even if NISA has stopped making them and selling them to distributors?

Stores can still sell what's available, just NISA can't make anymore. Gamestop could pull it off of their system for the new copies if they want to, since they do that no matter if there's still shrinkwrapped copies or not on any game that they choose and just convert them to pre-owned(but usually games that hardly ever sells). But other than them, companies can still sell what's available.

Well this rather lame. I wonder they tried suing WWE because they have a pro-wrestler with the name "Edge" on their roster.

I noticed the Cross Edge DLC isn't up anymore... could someone please explain if this is related to the 'Edge' issue or if its just an accident after network maintenance?

I'd assume the former.

Whatever the case, it was not there last I looked. Guess I got a ps3 and Cross Edge at a convenient time, at least I downloaded the free DLC when I had the chance.

I was lazy and kept saying I would get the DLC later. Though Idk how much it would help since my game is still in the packaging.

I can't believe people are allowed to do stuff like this. How can you trademark such a generic word? His wikipedia article is hilarious. It's so funny that it's just plain sad. I hope this guy goes to jail for abusing the legal system and tying up the courts

He sounds like a real loser with nothing better to do than sit around waiting for someone to try and market something with the word edge in it.

His website is craptastically amateur looking too.

I'm surprised that the United States Patent and Trademark Office allows such potentially abusive actions to occur. They should never ever allow anything like this to become possible. It's not like calling your product Verizon Donuts or Doritos Lawn & Leaf Bags. It's the word edge! C'mon.

Glad to hear it.

Also, check this out, it's Amazon.com's reviews for his game:

Yeah, because when reviewing a game, you talk about... things like it being shrink wrapped, and how it saves trees. He obviously went to the trouble of creating an account just to review his own game. Really sad.

I normally write longer ways of saying it but I'll make it short:

Get owned, Tim Langdell.
