I'd honestly not have Aniplex do well with this. I want the series to succeed here, but they need a hard lesson on how bad their business practices are. The prices for Madoka are highway robbery, and the prices for Fate/Zero are damn near grand theft.

I agree. But, I'm just stating why they likely let CR stream it.

It is ridiculous to charge almost $100 for 4 episodes on blu ray. But Otaku.co.uk are only charging about £35 for the blu ray (That's about half the price Aniplex mark it down for in USD). I reckon the blu ray box set will be better value and that's what most will wait for.

I guess no one realizes that Kara no Kyoukai is still 50000yen (which is around 620USD).

We realize how much they rape you guys with prices over there. But, that doesn't make it okay.

It's not just them. They weren't charging us much less for it.

I see, well, that's why I will never buy that. The majority of anime are priced reasonably over here though, that's why people are against this pricing.

You gotta wonder what Otaku are doing to be able to afford the Blu rays and stuff over there.

My parents usually pay for it, and I have a PayPal account that I put some money in. My school doesn't like paying for stuff so they pay me to design the T-shirts sometimes, but only in an extreme scenario. There are about 2-3 artists at the same school who draw waaaay better than I do.

So what is the average income of a Japanese person doing something basic for a job?

I was thinking about getting into this. Is the manga or the anime the way to go?

It's an Anime-First, so watch the anime first. Manga is an adaptatation which is basically the anime with a few differences. You could read it after the anime to spot them.

Kazumi Magica and Orika Magica are spin-off manga.

Definitely the anime. I found the manga kind of disappointing by comparison.

As for the spin-offs, Oriko wasn't that good. Kazumi is freaking amazing, so at least check it out.

The average income for a Japanese household is usually 2~5x higher than the usual American household.

Well, in a few days the first two movies of Puella Magi Madoka Magica will be released for viewing in both Japan and US. Anyone here planning on seeing it? Third movie is suppose to be a brand new story, so this should be interesting.

I'm certainly going to be there, since I managed to buy all 3 Limited Edtion DVD & Blue-Ray sets of the anime.

Tried to put the poster in this post but was too big from the Wiki.
