Just watched the first episode of Dusk Maiden of Amnesia; nexts on my list are Hanagai (which actually has a much more longer name) and Legend of the Legendary Heroes (or LOL Heroes )

Well It's more a problem that the subs don't go up right away on my Roku for some reason that I still don't get. I could watch the ep on my laptop, but my laptop sucks...

My PC sucks too, but I have no problems with Media Player Classic and the K-Lite Codec Pack, even with 1080p videos.

I can watch actual DVD's on my computer and they'll lag. This goes for standard Definition AVI's and of course things get worse with HD stuff...

I just now wtached the last 3 episodes of the first season of Hayate no Gotoku. Guess I was right about saying it takes me 2-3 months to finish it. I started it on May 1st and finshed it on July 11th. Only thing that's sad is that 28 episodes were watched in the first 4 days.

So now it's time for a rating:

Animation: 7,5/10
Sound: 8/10 (OP1 6/10, OP2 9/10), (ED1 6/10, ED2 9/10, ED3 8,5/10, ED4 6/10)
Story: 7,5/10
Characters: 7,5/10 (would've been an 8 if it weren't for Nagi)
Enjoyment: 8/10

Overall: 7,5/10

I had a hard time deciding between a 7,5 and an 8 in the overall rating. I went for the 7,5 due the huge amount of filler episodes (around 20).

I can't remember the name, but it had something to do with magic and Miso Soup. It was entertaining, but I really hope it gets turned into an actual anime. That was basically just advertising for a light novel.

Marimo no Hana
Pretty entertaining! Really hoping this could turn into an actual series at some point...

Finished Puella Magi Madoka Magica or as I shall snarkingly call "Magica Shoujo No Naku Koro Ni" for multiple reasons not including the literal translation of that name a few days ago. Wow, this is the first anime to ever make my eyes water and it wasn't even out of sadness. There was just something that felt so right, rightous, or whatever in episode 12 that I can't really explain.

Out of all of them, the person I felt most sorry for in all of this was "Homurika" (yet another snarky comment). Her past, her constant having to relive being unable to protect the people she cared about and her determination admist her pain stuck out for me. As per my comments about episode 12 above, the moment my eyes started to water involved her.

BTW, beware chance encounters with Ozzy Osbourne, as Mami will kindly demonstrate. Wait a sec....is that horrible or hilarious?

Actually, I have watched Higurashi Kai subbed. Which is why I made the comment about being disappointed we didn't get it state side. I really wanted to see how

On a side note, since IIRC Funimation ditched the license, I humbly request for NIS America to pick up the license to both "Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai" and "Umineko No Naku Koro Ni". The former feels completely empty without half of the answer arcs. The show must go on, though I'm disapointed that the 2nd half of the later never got an anime adaptation.

Note that I do agree that, overall, the arc was bad. It was awesome to see it animated, though, and Touyama Nao was really good as her VA.

Would be better to see the glorious beginning of the Goddess arc being animated, to be honest. Kanon's own arc is okay, but that little thing she pulls there is just awesome. And hilarious. And everything.

There was a split-cour season, then an OVA released last year. This is yet another OVA, I'm pretty sure no one saw this one coming, especially since it covers a character that only had a credits scene cameo in the anime.

Just finished up Working!!, the second season was quite a bit better than the first. A lot of it was more of the same, but I felt it did a much better job of splitting time between all the characters, rather than focusing on the one I didn't like. All in all it was a fun show with intersting characters that never ever changed.

Obviously Inami is the one I didn't like. Everyone else was great.

Also, I'm pretty done with Eden of the East now, after watching the 12 episode series and the 2 movies, I'd give it like a 7.5 or 8. And I don't feel like going into detail, but take refuge in knowing that I do in fact own all the blu-rays for this series.
