Still no 'action' but I like how the show plays out every episode. It really isn't bothering me that we've yet to see any real fights yet.

That is likely going to cause a problem later on though. Them being ordered to take out anyone else who's searching for it. Really reeks of some sort of royal conspiracy. The way they kept on saying 'the palace is fine', was really suspicious...

First cour is over, second cour is off to a great start with the new arc.

Finally what (probably) a lot of people have been waiting for, the yacht club gets significant screen time! I will enjoy this arc the most, probably, because it features the two most interesting groups: the Bentenmaru crew (although they're hospitalized) and the yacht club. It's too bad Jenny isn't there, hopefully she gets wormed into the story again at some point (<3 Satou Rina).

Sounds like this is a show for you, then! It's not really about "pirating" as in Peter Pan/One Piece/etc. I'd highly recommend checking out the first episode, at least. It's definitely not a universally appealing show, but if you're avoiding it simply because "it has 'pirates' in the title!", then I think you're doing a disservice to a show you might enjoy.
