On MAL? Hmm... kinda varies I guess. A little of everything I guess, some people kinda strict and site tends to get a lot of new users posting/remaking threads in the wrong spot, you the know usual. You won't get much discussion on older series though, mostly new and recent stuff. Though like every site, there will always be fanboys and haters.

Uh, how utterly tragic. I hope the cover girl returns to the main protagonist's side soon. Did something similar occur in the light novel series, and if so, I'm assuming the same will happen in the anime adaptation? If it does, how long (chapters/volumes/whatever) does it take for her to recover?

Spoiler tags = spoilers! For reals, yo. Since the manga is an adaptation of the light novel, I'd imagine they will both be fairly close. Of course, that assumption was wrong for Papa no Iu Koto Kikinasai, but you can't win 'em all
