Very true. I have the same problem with musical artists and/or songs.
I'm completely unable to come up with a true top 10 list (I tried somewhere before, and wasn't happy with it), so here's a semi-random sampling of the top 30 I threw together and wouldn't really be able to decide between.
Ah! My Goddess
Clannad
Koihime Musou
Lucky Star
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka
Carnival Phantasm
Full Metal Panic
Shakugan no Shana
Steins;Gate
Slayers
Overall, I'd say my viewing habits are skewed toward harems/romantic comedies, slice of life, and light novel adaptations, but I watch a fair bit of other stuff too. I like to think I enjoy a broad range of genres, but within a genre it can be inexplicable why I like one show and not another.
