I love turn based more than any other style of RPGs, but I don't like the stringing combos together thing. It seems slow, and I wouldn't mind that if the I like the way the attacks looked which I didn't.

Some of the attacks look better than others, or at least different according to personal preference, as I for one really like Rizelea's flurries of sword strikes.

Well I haven't played far into the game at all but I like the story a lot. Tell me is there a way to skip the battle animations completely? I know I could get through the game if I could.

I'm pretty sure you can't skip your own characters animations apart from EX skills, mostly due to the way how the comboing works, although you can skip enemy animations, which are probably the thing that takes up a lot of time anyway, with L2.
There's also a setting in the options to make animations unskippable, skippable, or always skipped, although I can't see the point of having an 'unskippable' option when there's a 'skippable' one, but nevermind.

There should be a skip animations option in the Option menu. You could also hold either L2 or R2 (I forget which).

Ok now that I know that (I should have checked but all those long tutorials made me angry) O can play the game all the way through. Now to find my glasses, can anyone help me with that?

I actually really love this game. Its battles remind me of Koudelka/Shadow Hearts a little and the style is nice.
