Lemme explain...HOW can you get an accurate representation of a fanbase for something if they can just vote it up every day? All that shows is that there are a few dedicated fans. And that's really it.

A one-vote system, is the only way to get a semi-accurate representation of a fanbase. Even then, they can make multiple accounts. BUT, that is nowhere near as influential on the system as everyone voting again every single day.

What we did, WAS excessive abuse of the voting system.

And I feel ashamed that I let myself get roped into it. Before this, I never voted more than once, and resolved not to. I want NISA to know how much fans they have.

Also, this is why petitions rarely work, because people can keep on signing them.

So, no more voting on the same thing over and over again. (for me anyways.)

My point exactly, you made it sound like voting it once per day wasn't the problem. And it was all about multiple accounts.

Because the majority of the people who vote fro some of the other wishes think like myself, we still most definitely want it, but see no point in taking advantage of the system to get our way.

Isn't this a well-documented behavior though? If this was mentioned by NISA itself, then I believe they're expecting people to do that...

In any case what I proposed about expiring votes is probably a better idea than the current one or a single-vote system. It's still most likely inaccurate, but should provide a reasonably reliable estimate.

Lol? Multiple votes from one account is detestable? You make it sound like we are doing something dispicable. Those aren't "methods we employ," those are methods NISA encourages. Your personal issue with voting more than once is of little concern to me. If you have a problem with it, take it up with NISA. All we do is play the game by the rules.

And multiple accounts have always been the issue. That's the only way to ruin the approximation. If the votes were cast at random, then you might have a valid argument, but as it stands, you need to log on to vote. Which means they're based on a username which ultimately means they are trackable. I'm pretty sure NISA knows how many unique users are voting. The only thing that can throw that off is multiple accounts.

I thought about that at first but then I also wanted a way to lead people into this topic in hopes they would post and keep it afloat as a reminder. But it seems to be doing fine now, I'll switch it to the actual wish momentarily for added convenience.

I haven't played very many GUST games (I know, I'm doing myself a disservice) but I absolutely love the character design and art that I've seen. GUST avatars would be awesome.
