I don't mind the speed it's going at right now. Would just like to keep it on everyone's mind by spamming reminders. But I hear you, more people would make this go faster. Ironically, some people won't support the wish but will buy the avatars the second they're released.

And I suppose it's because many of them are too lazy to make yet another account =S (since the NISA site account is separate from the NISA board account)

I have my own reasons for this.

I feel that the methods you people employ are detestable and don't really mean anything. I'm also holding out because I'd much rather have some GUST avatars for once.

Which reminds me, why isn't there a wish demanding for the remaining avatars? (and why wasn't there a larger uproar when it was found out those avatars are missing)

If our methods are detestable, doesn't buying the product of those methods make you a hypocrite?

I know what you're referring to and you're in the wrong to lump everyone together under that assumption. I have and have only had one wishlist account. I personally do not condone making multiple accounts to wish more than once a day as that defeats the purpose of creating a fairly accurate representation of demand. However with that said, I do not doubt that some people were doing this for the original wish as the speed it grew was much too fast. It's unfortunate that some people may have resorted to those methods but that is completely out of the individual's hands who is honestly voting once a day.

I don't agree with that method, but as there is literally nothing I can do about it, I will continue to cast my 1 vote a day because above all I support the idea of PSN carrying HDN related avatars.

Although the previous wish grew up much faster because it was started in a time where this forum was much more active? (not to mention that it was for a game that was already out) That alone would explain why it ended ranking up much faster =P

To support NISA mostly. And obviously you didn't know what I was talking about.

A one-vote system, is the only way to get a semi-accurate representation of a fanbase. Even then, they can make multiple accounts. BUT, that is nowhere near as influential on the system as everyone voting again every single day.

What we did, WAS excessive abuse of the voting system.

And I feel ashamed that I let myself get roped into it. Before this, I never voted more than once, and resolved not to. I want NISA to know how much fans they have.

Also, this is why petitions rarely work, because people can keep on signing them.

So, no more voting on the same thing over and over again. (for me anyways.)

The problem with the single-vote thing is that then it could reach a large amount of votes, but take a long time to get there, and when NISA decides to pay attention to it, it's very possible those who did the initial votes aren't interested anymore.

The idea of voting once per day is to make interested people to keep voting. You may think it just proves there's a dedicated fanbase, but if there are two dedicated fanbases, the one that's larger will still win over the other one in terms of numbers, and if the other fanbases aren't dedicated, what are the chances you can get much out of it in the first place, even if it's larger?

I suppose that in order to balance things even more you could make votes expire, e.g. votes expire after a week. You can renew your vote to reset its expiration timer, but if you don't renew the vote, it gets removed, reducing the ranking of the wish.

And ultimately it's all subjective anyways. I think the only reason the wishlist system was designed the way it is was to encourage people to exploit it by voting every day...

My point exactly, you made it sound like voting it once per day wasn't the problem. And it was all about multiple accounts.

@Sik
Because the majority of the people who vote fro some of the other wishes think like myself, we still most definitely want it, but see no point in taking advantage of the system to get our way.

Isn't this a well-documented behavior though? If this was mentioned by NISA itself, then I believe they're expecting people to do that...

In any case what I proposed about expiring votes is probably a better idea than the current one or a single-vote system. It's still most likely inaccurate, but should provide a reasonably reliable estimate.

I see no reason to vote any longer since the EU didn't get the HDN avatars. *shrug*
