Considering how the price of the first game skyrocketed, I'm not sure I'd say "minor", it was like a profit of 100%-200% the original price.

I don't blame you for being worried Arnie, I tried playing HDN 1 again in hopes that I'd be motivated to play Mk.II. I got farther in-game this time, but it still reaffirmed my view of: "what the hell do people enjoy about this game? "

I'd say you should wait at least 6 moths for a price drop and/or rent/borrow Mk.II instead of buying it...

I didn't really like the first game, barely played it because I haven't had time. I thought the dialogue was lame and the battles were boring. I still ordered this because it looks better than the first, and the set looks nice. If I don't enjoy it, I can always sell it to someone else.

Hope you didn't change your mind tho since we can't pre-order the CE anymore. :[

Just my opinion ,but I wouldn't wait 6 months in the hopes that NISA does a reprint ,and sells the game at a cheaper price .

Probably will be better to borrow,or rent the game .

It doesn't have to be a reprint. Unsold in-store Mk.II copies would be the one's that are price dropped, much like Atelier Totori and Ar tonelico Qoga dropping to $30 and $40, respectively. Too lazy to insert a link to Gamestop's website.

HDN =/= Mk2
Playing the first to get motivation of Mk2 wasn't a smart idea, since Mk2 is just so different.

I HATE HDN now, having Played Mk2.
They are completely different experiences, in pretty much every way possible.

I preordered the first HDN due to premise and style of game.
gameplay was horrible, music was bland, and the share system was atrocious.

I preordered the second with hopes that I don't regret the purchase of the first one.

6 months will pass and it'll no longer be available anywhere. Add more to it finding the game for Rent would be rather hard since the first one was no where to be rented also I know no one who's into any NISA related games whatsoever. So yeah I'm totally screwed

Oh well I guess I'd rather not waste away money on a game I'm not sure if I'm to enjoy it.

but then you waste and miss out on a great experience! with the attitude on not wasting money on something you might not like, you dont have a chance to discover how much better it really is! If you like things like Persona games, it's insane you would miss out on something like HN Mk2, which meets the standards of timeless rpgs! yea they are different types of rpgs but they still share some things that are common so if you liked something like a Persona rpg for example and didnt find it tedious or boring, you shouldn't have a problem enjoying HN Mk2.
