let me rephrase. Neptunia doesn't need dlc, though its there. You don't need dlc to beat the game, no dlc should ever be needed to complete a game, thats pretty obvious. If you need dlc to complete a certain game what you have there is an unfinished product. I wouldn't be making this argument on dlc if I didn't know what it was.

I find it funny how they would charge a dollar for a pair of sunglasses yet the 170mb visual attack modifier is free.

If your interested in that theres youtube.Honestly IMO mk2 has some of the worst dlc ever, ill probably buy a couple of outfits n thats it.

I use the same explanation for buying DLC as I do for F2P cash shops. I like pretties. I've got disposable income and spending the equivalent of a can of soft drink or two for DLC for a bit of extra fun that isn't necessary to beat the game or add major content doesn't worry me, or even spending $5 on a character (since thats about half of what I'd pay for a sandwhich near where I work)

Really, in an instance like this where if they follow the JP release, then pretty much all the game expanding DLC sans the two extra characters is free, theres much worse offendors. Its not like ME2 where two huge storylinking sections, one of which wrapped up major loose threads, were paid DLC. And it sure as heck isn't as bad as KoF XIII where alternate versions of characters that by all rights should have been unlocked through gameplay are DLC.

Yeah, I wasn't too thrilled about that in KoF XIII myself lol, but, the DLC is as it is. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you like it, buy it. O_o it's as simple as that isn't it?

Shouldn't you be PRAISING them for doing exactly what you stated? The DLC that's free adds to the experience, and the paid DLC is just silly stuff that you have no need of. Shouldn't that be ALL DLC models? Paid DLC being totally optional stuff that doesn't really matter (with the exception of the new characters, but they make sense), and the free DLC being stuff they couldn't implement right away? Or stuff that enhances your experience?

From what I've been reading you're complaining that the paid DLC is useless and the free DLC is useful. It's a very confusing thing to read :?

I totally agree with Vampko. The only paid DLCs that add to the game are Cave and Falcom, and not having them won't make you miss anything, really.

How is that funny?
The one should have been in the game in the first place, while the other is an extra add on that adds nothing of value. And it's not a 'modifier' it's literally a giant pack of moves that just weren't included at release. Neptune Break, Lily Skills, and other things like that.

If anything that's the way DLC should be, thank God that companies like Compile Heart have finally gotten it right.

Cave and Falcom aren't worth it in my opinion.
Falcom barely has any ways to cause multiple hits, making her AP and SP gain really really really slow, and her specials are less that spectacular. Cave can deal a good amount of damage but she's still not that good.

My main team is usually the four CPUs, with IF, Gear, Uni, and 5pb as their lily partners. I don't find using anyone else to be worth it. Honestly I have never used Gust, not even once. xD

Basically it gives Neptune, Noire, Vert, and Blanc new regular attacks as well as special and combination attacks. All other characters get some special and combination attacks as well.

Without those new skills the goddesses are pretty much useless in battle, so if you want to use Neptune, Noire, Vert and Blanc in battle, I recommend waiting until that DLC has been released. And it's 225 MB not 170.

You try choosing who to use out of sixteen freaking characters. Plus Gust sucks. Hardly used her in HDN as well.

I was on the Japanese PSN the other day and it was 170mb.... =S
And they aren't new attacks for the CPUs, they are all old. Neptune Break, Infinite Slash, basically their special moves from HDN, toss in a few lily partner skills, a 4 person attack that only the CPUs can do, and some specials for Compa and IF, and that's basically it.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's included in our release this time, since it's more like an update than a DLC. *shrug*

And I wouldn't say they are useless, Neptune can cause A LOT of damage even without specials. If that's all people hold onto when playing; the specials, and if that's how a character's worth is defined... that's awfully pathetic.

Hm weird it was 225 MB when I last checked it.

Well I meant "new" in terms of they weren't available before.

Maybe not useless but a special attack can save your ass if you're in a pinch.

Wow. So I think I should download the skills pack, then? I wonder why they weren't originally in the game. It IS the console goddesses' old moves, after all, from what you're telling me.
