Subs. Most English dubs make me cringe and also make my ears bleed. (Well some of them anyways. >.>)

Subs for me as well. Though I usually play through the the game once with every option.

In case of HDN, I would've used the subs more if Compa's JP voice wouldn't annoy me that much. Her english voice is not that much better unfortunealy.

It sounds so squeaky and annoying. Especially with her saying desu~ or waku waku things multiple times. I don't know what they were, but they were quite annoying to me. English dub was slightly... very slightly better. Still prefer subs than anything. I don't care if it is in Japanese where I don't quite understand the language, but as long as it has subs, it can still be funny and make me laugh at the Japanese jokes.

Dub on both most voices are quite good to me I can't think of any I absolutely hated.

Tried both, and I definitely prefer sub. Found the dub voices to be annoying.

Whenever possible I will go for subs with a Jap game as the original voice actors generally express their emotions better than dubs.
That doesn't mean I hate dubs, I just believe you can't dub a game as well as the original.

I go dubs on just about every thing possible. The thing with subs is that you have to focus your attention on reading the subs, distracting you from what's actually happening visually.


Also when it comes to HDN, the localization is technically better quality than the actual game is... (talking about the first game, can't speak for the second)

Once you get used to subs, your don't even notice them and it doesn't take away from what's happening. Whether you think the original or NISA's script is better depends on the person, but that's what's great about NISA catering to both groups. Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ
