You're right, the tv doesn't matter...just found out through my husband...So heck, if the US doesn't get The Last Story, I won't hesitate to import it from Europe then...

Ooh, I didn't know you were female.

And I'm reaally hoping for Last Story as well (it looks the best of the three rainfall games, imo)

The reverse can cause a problem with TVs, as some older ones can't support the ~60Hz refresh rate, causing it be all in black & white.
A problem I've encountered before more than once.

Maybe that's what I was thinking about with the TV's...but I know I have tvs that support that refresh rate, and my hubby has played concerts on his PAL supported dvd player and it shows up just fine on our TV...Though yeah, not everybody has nice and newer TV's...up until a few years ago, I was still watching tv and playing games on a box tv set...

Yep, I be a girl...a slightly "old" one at that (just in comparison to most of the forum-goers here, but I don't view myself as old really).

I know! Not to mention it screams "Final Fantasy" to me...considering it's creator for both are the same man...and some of the same crew as well...I mean, I still want Xenoblade (which that's confirmed) and Pandora's Tower I'm still a little unsure about...But Last Story was the top of my list...

Yeah, imo Last Story >>> Xenoblade > Pandora's Tower.

Last Story looks good and is giving me some good vibes.
Xenoblade look fun, but I'm not expecting to ber impressed.
Pandora's Tower looks good too, but the characters look more boring/worse than in the other two.

Here's hoping at least Last Story is localized! Pandora's Tower is whatever. I'd buy it if it came, but it's ok if it doesn't.

Ditto...my thoughts exactly...now watch Pandora's Tower actually have the best story of the lot LOL...Xenoblade will probably be good, given that I'm not putting too much faith into it (which was a slight problem with Xenosaga...I loved it, but not more than Xenogears and I got bummed when it wasn't technically connected). But how can Last Story go wrong with that crew? Now hopefully I didn't stick my foot in my mouth...

Well...Last story you're stuck playing as the same guy the entire game even though the supporting cast is better in my opinion. There's an 'auto-combat' which is about the worst form of auto-combat in the world, but thankfully you can turn it off. It definitely looks the best of the three in terms of art style/character design. But, being stuck as the main character only kinda brings that down.

Just, do NOT auto-battle. What that literally means, is that you don't have to press any buttons, just walk up to the enemies and the character will attack for you. At the beginning of the game I beat the first area just holding the analog in one direction pretty much. didn't press anything, or even look at the screen. I just looked at the minimap to be sure I was going in the right direction.

That can be a bummer, but playing as one character the whole time can work with certain games...Hopefully that did it well in Last Story...

I've been searching everywere for a Qoga copy (new or used), but here in Mexico it's almost impossible to find non-final fantasy rpg's (even if the games were just released). I've asked in literally every store that sells videogames (BlockBuster and MixUp couldn't even find the game in their data bases). And I can't pay the $100 price tag of Amazon. I
I would buy it if there was a reprint.

Honestly, in a "third world" (read: non-US-or-European) country, your only real bet will be online retail. I wouldn't be surprised if virtually no copies were shipped to Mexico to begin with.

This is, of course, why digital distribution is P. Great. Just sayin'~
