Though I thought starting at different intervals on a New game+ made it so you can't get the trophy for 100% completion because you didn't do it in one playthough. fair warning, i guess

Nope. It's possible to get 100% completionon on a New Game + even if you choose Phase 2 or Battle of Fate as long as you fulfill every task in the Cosmospheres by the time you're completely done with level 9. It doesn't matter if it's 1 playthrough or not. Of course if you messed up before Phase 2 starts, then yes you'll have to start at the beginning.

Also some people miss the events that happen after level 9 has been completed.

Dunno, but that's how it went for me, did the new game+, and it didn't give me the 100% cosmosphere trophy. not until I'd started over completely and did it from the beginning ( in the japanese game, anyways ). And I made all the same choices I did earlier, and before I restarted I already did have all the hyuma's, i think

You probably fixed whatever you missed previously. Like I mentioned, if you missed any event before Phase 2 started, you can never get the 100% trophy no matter how many New Game + you do unless you start at the beginning. If you screw up after Phase 2 started, then you could have a possibility of getting 100% with choosing Phase 2 or Battle of Fate. I screwed up with Saki since I missed out on the level 7 scene that needs to be done before Saki sings at the Moocheriel event, so on a New Game +, so I got the trophy because I got that scene to show up and didn't need to start back at the beginning.

I am wanting the 9-9 talk topic with Finnel.
Spoiler:
9-9 "Charm " Clear CS9, make ?Glass Jar?

Spoiler:
1) I thought I finished Finnels L9 cosmosphere, I synthesized the "?Glass jar?" some time after that.
2) I looked up how the hell to get this talk topic after a while. (as pasted at the top)
3) I double checked Finnels cosmosphere. It was not DONE... I had 4 things left to do at the very end of 9. I then finished them. Done now.
4) Still no talk topic even though I had already synthesized "?Glass Jar?" in the past.
5) I synthesized the star jar will all 3 reyvatiels afterwards to see if it would trigger. Still no talk topic and Finnels cosmosphere is done. Bug?

So I was playing Tyria's Binary field for a bit, and man, the amount of spelling errors, grammar errors, word replacement and just weird usage of words was a bit overwhelming. Along with parts where the names of the people who talk get switched ( for a while Raphael and Aoto's names get switched near the end of the story in the binary field )

The requirement for that talk topic is two items. You need the Blue Beach Sandals in your inventory as well. If you've equipped it, unequip it and you should get the talk topic.

I DID HAVE THEM EQUIPPED! YOU ARE VERY SMART!
Thank you!

Now I am only missing my 2-7 with Finnel. Unfortunately it seems that was timed.

Either way, I am very thankful, Artonmai 8-)

Found some more inconsistencies, of the likes that I've been encountering a LOT ever since Trinity Universe. the Pom enemies in this game are still called Pom, but in the battle over screen, any instance of Pom is replaced by Bomb. This reminds me of stuff like in Trinity Universe where they'd call Canis Fangstones Caged fangstones in item lists and stuff like that..

Also.. I just found out they made a very good change in the game =O the skip text button is now O instead of X. this was VERY annoying in the japanese game, in scenario battles, if you ended the battle by pressing X, often the text would start skipping as the cutscene resumed ( only in subsequent playthroughs ). I'm really glad they changed that in the american game. This way you can't really accidentally skip your cutscenes.

Unless you press circle to get out of the battle menu

SCENARIO battles. Read, man. This game has no battle over screens after scenario battles, or experience for boss battles for that matter. So again, not possible to accidentally skip your cutscene after scenario battles.

Not exactly, I've had the problem of cutscenes skipping because I circled out of a normal battle beforehand. Just, always use the cross button for those things.

There are no normal battles prior to cutscenes, only scenario battles ( or ZUUL, if you're called Punk ).

Ok, I'll rephrase, there are no regular battles that TRIGGER cutscenes, meaning that if you finish a regular battle, are tapping the O button and keep walking and then trigger a cutscene, it's your own fault. But there is no battle that happens that transfers into a cutscene that has a battle over screen, I checked. Some of those battles may have normal enemies, but they don't get a battle over screen after them.

EDIT: So yes, a Scenario battle with normal enemies is still a Scenario battle, not a normal battle.
