I have a feeling that this may get patched out like the duping trick in the shop.

They know they have no reason to try and patch this out. It wouldn't make no sense to. Plus you can't dupe the weapons anyway. Just the android

If people still need it, I can try removing people from my friend's list (...or making an extra PSN account for this and copying my save over? That should work, I wager).

As for this getting patched, it was around from the start in the JP version and various parts of it were patched (i.e., PPS from Friend's List Pirates) but the capturing was left in. I'm actually pretty sure the capturing other people's characters was mentioned in a trailer or PV at some point.

Anybody who wouldn't mind me sending them a friend request to steal androids? I would feel bad about just spamming Scy or Cervos. After I get a few androids I will make my own pirate ship for others to steal from.

Just updated my pirates to have 4 of the androids. Should show up on turn 0. PSN again is Cmatsumoto (since no doubt scy and cervos have their friend list getting full).

Edit: changed ship parts around again (forgot about keeping the ship around long enough).

This probably sounds stupid, but how do I capture the androids? I use the signal transmitter, but each time it sends out a mayday signal and the androids that show up are friendly. I tried shooting one of them. The android countered but still remained friendly. How can I get the androids to appear as enemies?

They have to appear has an enemy by selecting Friend when choosing the online pirates when entering the item world.

to capture them you have to go to the item world and set the pirates to friends and then they will appear and you can capture them
ps. does anyone know of a way to capture them easier because whenever I throw them into my base panel they always destroy it

Thats weird they shouldn't do that because their only Level 1. Unless your Val is Level 1

Or you pull a "me move" and forget to open the 6th tier of the Android class up. I accidentally left it at tier 5, I had tier 6 open but never reincarnated.

Of course. It's been like that since... I know it was like that in 3, haven't played 2.
