DLC, ho!

I will agree that Cory seemed more supporting of a character role than the others having their own thing. I guess I don't really dislike Cory either. Her story was more implied than rather fleshed out...if that makes any sense...

Though I was intrigued with her fascination with Gio...LOL

I stuck chiefly to Cory and Sterk as my party members. Cory was a cutie, and Sterk was powerful with a mean row attack. I think they all received attention; Corelia just was displayed as more of a generic tsundere. Come to think of it, the characters really had fuck all done with regards to background. It seems like an afterthought, now.

But yeah, as Saturnine said...now that I think about it, no one really got a detailed backstory. I guess it wasn't really needed given that this game wasn't focused around trauma like most characters in most RPG's are inflicted with...LOL.

But I guess all in all, Cory's constant pissed off state kind of turned me away. I guess that's why I liked her scenes with Gio since she was actually quite calm. I guess that just goes to show what type of characters I like...

Wait a minute, no it doesn't...Chroche from Ar tonelico 2 was my favorite reyvateil and she's definitely tsundere...Oh bother...

First it was Cory and Iksel, then it was Cory and Lionella. And that was it ~

For me it was Iksel and Sterk, then it was Sterk and Gio. Lionela was just so adorable though...

I didn't really care much for Tantris though. I didn't hate him, but I didn't really care much for him either.

When I think about it, even though I didn't use Cory that much and I said I didn't like her, I didn't hate her either. Same goes with Tantris. Perhaps that's one of the reasons why I loved Atelier Rorona so much; there wasn't a character I actually hated. In pretty much all games I've played, there was always one character that I just wanted to die, but in this one...nope...none of them.

I kind of hope Totori is that way for me too, even though I'm positive I'll love the game.

Yes, there were cutscenes with her in it, like her meeting Pamela or her and Astrid making fun of Rorona while she's right there in the room, but there weren't enough Cory-specific cutscenes (for me). The only ones I remember:

- Kids picking on her
- Cory selling her stuff to Tiffani
- Cory giving Esty those jobs

Then you see nothing else until you do the last job. Boo. But, I DID like a few things on her route, like when the music stopped when Rorona and Hagel is talking then the music resumes in a different verse as she runs out crying (awwww). And the make-up scene.


Also, my main party for both playthroughs is Cordelia and Iksel. I just couldn't find myself replacing them with any of the others. I like Cordelia and her Call Servants attack becomes VERY powerful once you've leveled her and give her a good weapon and armor that increases ATK; she probably also has one of the most damaging Limit Breaks in the game. Iksel stays on my team because I have to take him with me anyway for his harvesting items, plus he's the only character besides Lionela that can heal. Lionela may have better heals later but she's nowhere near as strong as Iksel, plus her element clashes with Rorona and Cory's.

I'm personally glad Totori got rid of it, now I can use whoever I want. Plus it's not even like the skills' attack power increased that much (it sure made the enemies stronger though).
