Based on the amount of secrecy around this game, but Houk's continued assurance that it's coming, I'd be willing to bet good money that a PS3 version is in the works.

That would be amazing, but I don't wanna get my hopes up.

Yeah, I admit I have zero evidence to back my claim, I'm just speculating. So, you know, grain of salt and all that jazz.

Still, taking various things into consideration, I think it's pretty likely. And if I'm wrong, I won't be disappointed. I'd be happy to get this game on any platform.

WOW!!!! A PS3 version would sell like hot cakes!!!!!! ^_^ it's about time more companies make use of the kit Sony released to port PSP games to make them fully playable for PS3. wow that means we can use a nice huge TV, and nice sound system and nice controller and more!! ^-^

If we got a PS3 version I would be 100% certain that Japan would get it as well. But Imageepoch would probably want to wait until the game has been out in Japan for at least a year before announcing a PS3 version, which could explain why NISA can't talk about it yet.

I'm not being sarcastic. PSP has been kicked to the curb by Sony.

And it's sales potential in the west wouldn't be nearly as big on PSP as it would on PS3 through PSN.

Vita is still too expensive for most people and it's dumb business strategy to think something like Black Rock Shooter would sell more on Vita in the west instead of PS3.


If they release it on PSP, that's only because NISA localizes games, they don't really port a PSP game to a PS3 game for example, unless they surprise people with this. but anyway, it still stands PSP and Vita markets are inferior to PS3 market. It's just how it is in the west.

And obviously PS3 gaming is higher standards than PSP and Vita gaming. Portables are always an inferior platform with just gimmicks to self itself. Companies may make some extra money, but at the sametime they are wasting a lot of money in the process.

Even Microsoft wouldn't be so stupid as to make a portable instead of strengthening their Xbox360 library further.

portables just result in splitting the community and market in half, so it's like Sony is competing with itself for PS3/PSP/Vita sales. but there's no need to go through this discussion.

portable games never get GOTY awards, their hardware is too inferior and casual to be taken seriously, and their library is bare bones compared to consoles.


I only bought PSP because I wanted to try out exclusives like Duodecim and Castlevania DXC and FF Type 0 Japan demos (and some really wild investment of money even though I know portables are not up to my gaming and hardware standards)

, but it was the most dumbed down gaming experience ever. ad-hoc is the most fossil quality online experience ever, my neck/back hurts using a portable, the thing is heavier than a PS3 controller, it tires out my eyes, the controls of course suck and make the hand joints hurt over time, the screen collects dust particles so easy and I lost count how many times I had to wipe the screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a shame I can't trade it in these days (I don't buy/sell online), because it's been collecting dust since last year.

but that lesson is fine hands on proof that I know what I'm talking about and portables just don't cut it for gaming standards. it's a gimmick that isn't the best platform for gaming.

back to Black Rock Shooter, of course it's more than likely it would come on PSP in the west, since it's made for PSP,

but even though having a PSP,
I would buy it to help NISA, but in the long run, I know I won't enjoy it as much as if it was made for console like PS3.

The Slim PSP is actually pretty light, did you get one of those?

Your other points aren't too bad, but you get a bit too extremist in your opinions. But, they're your opinions so ah well.

I'd like it to be released on the PS3, but it still wouldn't be a 'made for PS3' game either way. And the Vita's getting more and more popular as the days go by actually.

I think a Vita conversion would be best.

I think PS3 is the most likely platform, if they choose to port it at all, because it has a much larger install base than the PS Vita and I think that's where the majority of the game's target audience is in the West.

But I'd be glad to get the game on PSP, PS3, Vita, 3DS, Dreamcast, whatever.

Well at least we know it's still being worked on.
They probably have a smaller dev team working on it so they can save money, since this is a PSP game and all which would explain the wait.
