I normally have the completionist spirit in me as well, but I really can't get into it with a timed game I think...I was able to pull it off with Mana Khemia, but the Arland games are a bit harsher when it comes to time...like battles taking up time and the like, it just seems a bit too restricting for me, especially since I wanna be able to craft what I want, and fight what I want

I've read Meruru is much easier to complete (platinum) than the previous two so if your a perfectionist, I guess you won't have to worry as much about difficulty.

That's nice, seeing as I wanna be able to enjoy myself as well, instead of having to worry TOO much about those stupid points -_-

I think I finished my first gameplay in 30-40 hours and got the Normal Ending. Every gameplay after it was less than the previous given I was skipping through a good chunk of the dialogue. I know what you mean in general though and I agree. The Atelier games, when compared to games like Final Fantasy[s], Xenosaga, etc...yeah, they're just shorter, which I kind of like because it's not too short and it's a break from the massive games.

Unlike Xenoblade where I have this semi-completionist thing going on and I've already put in 120hrs in still the first playthrough. I have NEVER spent so much time on a single playthrough before, and it's getting insane...

I think the reason the games go by quick for me is that I do mostly synthesizing and not much else.
And synthesizing makes the days go by quickly.

Which is kinda funny, cause when you here them talking about synthesis in the story dialogue, they make sound like it takes a lot less time lol.

That might also explain how I wasted days on Totori, adding in the whole traveling time, and the game becomes super short, AND you get the bad ending

I'm horrible at conserving time, I learned that through playing the Arland games

I'm sure its manageable. especially if you want your schedule to be effecient. Just don't overdo it with synthesizing or some stuff and things can get better! ^-^ besides I heard there is items or stuff to make travel quicker and synthesis faster, so there could be shortcuts.

Yeah, I'm gonna TRY and conserve time more, but I like being able to do a mix of alchemy/adventuring...I think I played too much Mana Khemia

Nice~

I'll probably still not do it. The extra money just isn't worth it for me. I can wait.

Yeah, when I do get it, I'll post a picture of it with the rest of ny Arland collection yeah.

But man, I'm not a very big fan of the box art... The design for the PE box on the other hand, looks pretty dang gorgeous.
