Mafia Episode V-Endgame-Town Wins

From what I seen in the only other time I played mafia online the mafia split there votes between three different people on day one. Also, based on the understanding I have of the 'Ubi strategy' of voting for himself was to release the heat on him being mafia.

It is day 1. I only had one vote. His strategy wouldn't be to smart in that situation. I already explained twice why I voted for myself.

Judging from the tally's result, I'll make my vote now, and try to explain my reasoning as simple as possible:

VOTE: XERAS.

Last time (and only time) I've seen someone vote for himself, it was Ubiquitor, and he was mafia. Voting for oneself must be the worst kind of maneuver, and I'd never do something like that, townie or mafia. If he ends up being a townie, I hope he realizes how he hurt the townies. If he ends up being mafia (and get succesfully lynched), we'll know the other mafia members (from the ones that voted for Nazou).

Why would you think that? I admit that what Xeras did was odd, but you can't just assume voting for onself = mafia. You can't even assume that everyone who voted for Nazou is mafia. That's just faulty, lazy reasoning. He didn't even hurt the other townies, you know? He's not even dead! You're jumping the shark a bit here.

If I am eliminated, Sj and Phoenix have been able to convince me they are not mafia.
The only suspicions I have at this time is Nazou (for previously mentioned reasons) and Shizuka for what I consider fail logic.

He's trying the Ubi stratedgy prob to try to get suspicion off of him whether he is mafia or not. Tho it did not work well for Ubi.

One flaw in people's understanding of the "Ubi strategy" is the assumption that the objective of the individual employing that strategy is to win/survive. In truth, the objective of the "Ubi strategy" was to prolong the game and make it more interesting due to the outcome; as such, the strategy worked perfectly well for me.

Now Xeras is following the Sj logic from last game: Mafia are desperate to find the lynch of least resistance. To this end, Xeras made himself an easy lynch; however, confused Townies are more likely to fall for such a trap.

The voting has been quite dynamic; as such, there is quite a bit of information to analyze when more is known. At this time, however, it seems more like a large chain of reactions (some more reasonable than others).

and chances are most of the ones getting votes are townies trying to stir things up, and mafia manipulating the way everyone else see these townies.

And I don't get where the "failed logic" is in Shiz's reasoning. There is no pro-town reason to vote one's self. The only reasons include:

a) Boredom/Stupiduty
b) Fed up with the game
c) Mafia AtE getting town to think it's a or b.
d) Lying? (See how weird that is guys...)

Sure it could be points a or b (or d), but those still don't help the town. Therefore, it's most likely point c. Give me a pro-town reason to vote yourself, do it.

And what Shiz said about people voting Nazou isn't flawed either. They aren't for sure scum, but they are transeferring the lynch from Xeras to another wich is great for VCA. Bloo voted Blitz for a similar reason (I didn't want to kill her, and if she flips scum...), and no one called bull. The whole "this logic is flawed" feels to me like Phoenix covering his ass because he voted Nazou after Xeras (I'm not accusing him, town would cover their as too).

I have just realized something that means I will contradict myself but oh well.
When I said I was beeing honest in everything I said I really thought I was.But I forgot the times when I agreed with claymore(and perhaps other people I just don't remember) by stating I was mafia for reasons I see as stupid(such as misspelling) I was just joking around and didn't even considered that. However you are not me, nor do you know me well enough to know my sense of humor, so you may not have grasped that. Anyway forgive me for I have lied.

No, I find it perfectly legitimate (not enough to not be voting Xeras but still ). Scratching out the inactive thing (especially considering that's what she always does), it's still reasonable. I was defending the godkill pretty hard, and her flip would be helpful.

Though she did post N0, so I'm no longer certain she is town. (just thought this would be important to restate).

Is there a better reasoning to make on Day 1, when no one can trust anyone and we're mostly targeting whoever trips over something? SJ pretty much covered what I meant, and I don't see how Nazou could be framed as mafia yet.

My vote can change, but to say that my reasoning is lame when there's not much to talk about is somehow strange. And weird. I don't want to jump any tracks here, but you should understand why I said I could change my vote, and there was no reason to fault my reasoning. That just makes me want to pay the price and see if I was really right or not. Day 1 is risky business, I've been reading the topic and I find Xeras' attitude quite suspicious. We'll just have to wait and see. A townie will probably die because the mafia has enough votes to lynch a townie if the townies are all scattered and turning against themselves.
