Manga are technically books, just picture books. And then there are light novels which are pretty much books. And then there are V/N's which ARE books, some actually interactive, others LITERALLY a digital book. So, if people take that into account, they may change how they look at things.

Funny. During reading time in 7th grade my teacher wouldnt let us read them stating theyre not book books. 9th grade another teacher stated what you did and let us.

I'm simply surprised that you're surprised that books are at the bottom of most peoples lists. At first I thought you were joking then I realized you were serious. It's just something I naturally expected.

I didn't. I've been reading my whole life, and even when I was in high school most people I knew still read recreationally.
