I didn't go with 'favorite games', so much as games that had the largest impact on me, or the greatest significance
1. Final Fantasy VII. Sure it's not my favorite FF ever, but it's what convinced me to seriously peruse what Sony had to offer. Which was the start of a beautiful relationship ~
2. Siren (PS2). This is what got me back into horror games, scared me and terrified me more than any horror game I've ever played, and is my all-time favorite horror game ~
3. Ever17 Out of Inifiny. This gem of a game is what convinced me that Visual Novels were something worth perusing
4. Joust (arguably the most important one here). One of the very first video games I've ever played. And the beginning of my gamer heritage really.
5. Atelier Iris Eternal Mana. My first foray into NISA, and my first taste of what GUST had to offer. This has so much significance for myself really.
6. Doom. back in my younger days, I played this game like crazy. It brought me into the shooter genre, and also managed to creep me out a bit. Possibly playing into my hidden fear traits.
7. Trinity Universe. This was the game that broke my 100% weaboo status, and got me to learn to appreciate dubs. Before this game, I'd always say 100% that the Japanese audio was better, and the dub sucked. No matter if it made sense or not.
8. Disgaea Hour of Darkness. My first introduction to NIS, but more importantly, it's what convinced me there were Strategy RPGs worth playing outside of Tactics. And boy did that open up into a lot of games...
9. Ratchet and Clank. This game had me fall in love with Insomniac. Sure, the Spyro games before i also loved to death. but I never really realized who Insomniac were until this game. This also helped greatly to make me more open to 'western' games.
I wanted to include Rorona, since it got me more and more interested in alchemy, but I felt the other games had more reason to be put here.
