"Fuck!" she yelled, firing another bullet right where the girl had been just a moment ago. "Goddamn it... Glenn..."

Roxanne could feel her eyes burning, but she dared not cry. She walked over to Glenn, kneeling over him.

"Don't leave us. Don't you dare."

"It's not decent, Jade... The man's still alive. And he will make it..." But there was serious doubt in her voice.

Rudy gritted his teeth, as another dagger came to his grip, as he looked at Jade, and aimed the tip of his dagger at Jade, and said, "I'll fucking kill you..."

Jade tilted its head as if a bit confused, "Do you require a sedative?"

"It's not decent, Jade... The man's still alive. And he will make it..." But there was serious doubt in her voice.

"Well then, I suggest a doctor attend to him as soon as possible."

Gordon chimed in. "I'll go."

Gordon left the room quickly to search for their medic.

"Hurry!" Roxanne said.

Gordon roused Emily from bed. "Come on, Em, get up. Someone's in trouble."

"W-whaaa...?" Emily said sleepily. "Five... more minutes..."

"No, now!" he said. "A man is dying in the AI wing and will not five more minutes!"

This woke her up. "Sir, yes sir!" She grabbed her supplies and stormed out of the room, making it to the room in a few seconds. "Oh shit... this looks really bad. CLEAR THE WAY!" she yelled, pushing Roxanne and Rudy away from Glenn. She immediately began to apply pressure below Glenn's neck to stop the bleeding while she had Roxanne help clean the wound so she could attempt to wrap it in gauze. Glenn's heart was failing.

Sorry if I'm not aware of the medical procedure of tending to a slashed throat. I'm just going off what I know what to do for normal cuts xD

Start of Chapter Three.

Roxanne began to cry. In the short time she knew Glenn, she had grown to like him despite his faults.

"I can't believe it... he's gone.." she said. She closed his eyes and handed the envelope to Rudy. "Here. You knew him best. If what he said is true, we need to find that girl and get an explanation out of her. Apparently, this was supposed to happen."

Sophie searched through the house, looking for something to gag herself with so that no one would hear her screaming in her sleep. Eventually, she happened upon a ball-gag; The type that was used in bondage films. Briefly, she frowned at it, wondering what, exactly, it was doing in this apartment, but she lost interest as her desire for sleep increased. Latching the gag around her head, over her mouth, Sophie took out a syringe, and she filled it with the contents of one of the drug packages. Sophie put the bag with the night terror drugs under the bed. Then, she injected herself in the leg. Laying down on the bed, Sophie was hit with a sudden fear of what she had done. She tried to stay awake, but her body had already been paralyzed by the effects of the drug. She felt her eyelids becoming heavy, and Sophie finally succumbed to the drug, falling asleep.

-but her sleep was far from restful.
It was only minutes before she started screaming into the gag, the dreams continuing her torture, even away from the Palace.

Start of Chapter Three.

Roxanne began to cry. In the short time she knew Glenn, she had grown to like him despite his faults.

"I can't believe it... he's gone.." she said. She closed his eyes and handed the envelope to Rudy. "Here. You knew him best. If what he said is true, we need to find that girl and get an explanation out of her. Apparently, this was supposed to happen."

Rudy lazily looked up from the ground, his vacant eyes looking at the envelope in her hands. He stared at it fro a few seconds, before standing up, and snatching it from her hands, and proceeded to walk in a sloppy manner from the room. As he made it into the hall, he walked, his shoulder scrapping against the wall, he closed his eyes, as he recalled the sounds heard after Glenn's passing.

Rudy! Calm Down!!
No! You fucker! Didn't you say you were going to cut down the emperor!? Open your eyes damnit!
Rudy, He's gone!!
AHHHH!!!

He opened his eyes, as he thought to himself, When was the last time, I cried like that? he sighed, as he gave up on the trip to his room, and collapsed onto the floor, his back against the wall, as he lazily looked up the roof. He pulled down his hat, covering his eyes, as he decided to stay there for the time being. I've lost to many friends in this world, damnit.

"Tsk tsk tsk," Bartholomew said to himself as she watched Sophie fall asleep. "Such a shame for one who wields such beauty. Ah well."

He got up and returned to his quarters. Changing into his sleepwear, he climbed into his four-poster and fell asleep within a minute.

Melissa was shocked throughout the entire event. In a matter of second, for reasons unknown to her, Glenn's life was taken away. While she didn't know him very well, it was still painful to see someone die in front of them out of nowhere.

Worried, Melissa went after Rudy, in the attempt to calm him down.
"Rudy... how are you feeling? I-I know you and Glenn go ways back, so I came to check up on you."

"Carter," he said. "Let's go. You look very tired and there's nothing we can do about him. We'll put his body in stasis until we can give him a proper burial." Roxanne just nodded. "Let me show you the way to the living quarters and where you all will be staying." Again, she just simply nodded.

Gordon turned to Jade. "Do you mind spending the night here? I don't think you're going to need a bed to sleep on."

Emily stood up. "I'm so sorry I couldn't save him. It was too late." She left without another word.

"Alright, but I will be locking the door behind you. Just a safety precaution," he said.

He led Roxanne out of the room, locking the door, and spotted Rudy and Melissa in a corner.

"Soldiers," he said to them. "Time for bed. I know you need to mourn, Rudy, but you need to sleep. You'll need to get up in the morning for training."

Without waiting for a reaction, he headed off to the Living Quarters, Roxanne close behind.

"Here. You and Melissa can room together."

"Thanks," Roxanne said halfheartedly. She sat on her bed when Gordon left the room, still too shocked to do much of anything.

"Regardless. His friends need to know of how evil he really was. I'll go talk to that one guy, he seemed like he was the most ensnared by his web of deceit. I'll just have to sneak into his room!" She stood determined, and started sneaking through the building, I'm really fortunate it's night time. It's a lot easier to find shadows and I am really energetic! Now, where could that man's room be...? She began wandering the building, and happened to see him outside of his room actually. Perfect! She boldly appeared in front of him, "I've come to inform you of the fraud you know as Glenn!"
