DATA 0 - BUSY AWAKENING

BGM: Dorm


At a certain house, the sound of a writing pen could be heard...
Then it suddenly stopped.


Lopez: "Man I'm beat..."
He was sitting on a chair with his face lying on the table out of exhaustion.


-PHONE RING-

Lopez: "Man... can't they leave a tired person alone?"

He picked up the phone.
Lopez: "Xeras? What does he want this late?"
He asked himself as he checked who calls him.

Lopez: "Ah, whatever."
He answered the call.
Lopez: "I'm out right now. Please leave a message after the beep..."
He said in a lazy voice.

Xeras: "What's wrong Lopez? Tired?"
Lopez: "A bit..."
He said as he stood up.

Xeras: "Busy again?"
Lopez: "Heh. When was last time I wasn't busy?"
Xeras: "I'm with Red, TFG and Ubi here. We are heading to a party. Wanna come?"
Lopez: "How nice to be carefree and have time for such activities..."
He sighed.

Lopez: "Sorry, can't. Have work to do and I'm already beat."
Xeras: "He said no."
Ubi: "Pass him over."
He heard them talking among themselves. Meanwhile, he threw himself on the bad with heavy breathing of deep exhaustion.

Lopez: Life is just so annoying at times...
Ubi: "By analyzing the sounds I'm hearing, you're likely lying on the bed and pitting your own self right now, thinking life is annoying."
That put a smile on Lopez's face.

Lopez: "How you always do this is beyond me."
Ubi: "Your constant rejection of our offers quite sadness us all."
Lopez: "I DO want to go. But I just don't have the time."
Ubi: "If there's not enough time, then make some. Living without free time is the same as not living at all."
Lopez: "I like your logic, but you just make it sound much more simple than it really is."
Red: "We need to hurry up!"
TFG: "Yeah, it's gonna begin soon."
Lopez: "Just go."
Ubi: "I believe I should. Though this talk isn't at its end yet. A suitable solution must be formed to your situation."
Lopez: "Yeah, I guess. Well, night~"
And he hang up.

Lopez: Getting sleepy...
His eyes were blinking, threatening to close altogether.


-PHONE RING-


Lopez: "WAHH!"
That shook his sleepiness. He grabbed the phone in dizziness.

Lopez: "Hah.... who...?"
He was a bit out of it.
Mizu: "Ah, sorry. Did I wake you up?"
Lopez: "No worries, you did good." Can't let myself fall asleep yet. Got work left.
Mizu: "Oh, umm... okay?"
He was a bit confused on the other side of the line.

Mizu: "Anyway, we need your help. As the student council president, you know those enterance codes for various rooms in school, right?"
Lopez: "Huh? Well, yeah... why at this hour?"
Mizu: "Ah, we're investigating the rumor about demons appearing at midnight in school."
Lopez: "Huh..." Still little kids inside
Mizu: "So I need the code for room 1407. We heard a strange sound from there."
Lopez: "Okay, it's-"
"AHHHHHHHHH!"


The scream on the other side of the line felt like wind blowing in his face.


BGM: Kyouki
Mizu: "Huh? Guys what's wrong- AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
-BEEP -BEEP -BEEP-

Lopez: "What...?" I hope this is just a poor joke...
He tried to redial.

-BEEP -BEEP -BEEP-
"The number you have dialed is not in service. Please check the number and try again."



Lopez: "Okay, guys this is not funny."
He became seriously tense. He redialed again to make sure he didn't make a mistake.

-BEEP -BEEP -BEEP-

Lopez: What's going on here...?


The light in his room began to flicker. A shiver ran through his hands.


As he was trying to get a hold of himself

everything was covered in green light.

As he closed his eyes out of instinct, a strange sensation overflew his body.

Something inside him was changing

As he was undergoing an unexplained transformation, scenes began to pop in his head.


A red demonic world.


An odd deity.


And... death.


After the last image - he opened his eyes in shock. That sensation of death, felt so foreign yet realistic.
Everything was shrouded in complete darkness. He could tell that thanks to the lack of any noticeable light source. However, he himself could see everything as clearly as during daylight.

"Hee ho"


He jumped as he heard the voice and saw the creature in front of him.


To him it looked like a Halloween costume, only a very realistic one.

Lopez: This thing it's... floating!
He was going backwards on the bed as if to get away from the creature. That until his back hit the wall.

???: "Agiho"
The creature chanted something and a red light surrounded it.


The whole room lit up in mere seconds.

Due to being familiar with the dangers of breathing smoke, Lopez instinctively sought an out from the burning room. The closest, perhaps sole due to circumstances, exist he saw was the window beside him. As insane as it sounded, he didn't even think twice about it.

He opened the window. After a short glance at the far away ground is, he simply closed his eyes and...


jumped.

The landing did hurt, but not nearly as much as he expected it to.
When he turned his head up, what he saw was...


His beautiful city being reduced to ashes in front of his very eyes...



Insanity rages everywhere as humans are facing their inner devils.
Choices made now will affect the fate of the world.
