Their actions and the RESULTS of those actions, are what is causing their depression. How you continue to ignore that simple fact is beyond me.

We know what they chose to write. If they are remembered wrong, or exaggerated, or made up the entire story, we do not know.

What I do know is that someone took the trouble to create a topic named "Depression" and wrote about not knowing how to cope with it. I contributed in the way I thought would be best. I'm sorry you... are upset at my posts, I guess. (I'm not really sure what you are implying in regards to my posts... don't help unless there's conclusive evidence?)

Not exactly upset, but people need to understand-- I am VERY literal.

So if that's what they posted, I believe that's what they mean. Seeing how you interpreted it differently caused me to flip the hell out, since I don't bring all those other factors into account.

So in a brief bout of sanity, I decided to search their posts and see if I could find anything that alluded to this subject. I probably would have ranted more if I hadn't of done that, since I saw no evidence of Clinical Depression in the opening post of this thread.

Now however?
I don't doubt the possibility one bit, since they are in fact taking medication for it.

So I apologize for letting myself get out of hand, I don't take into account the other things-- and automatically come against people who do. .-.

I'm going to leave this thread open but please keep in mind that this forum isn't the appropriate place to get useful medical/psychological advice.
this! if you suffer from clinical depression get help asap.but find yourself ppl that will be supportive of you.keep yourself busy so that you dont have time to think about your depression. and dont do anything stupid,as long as you are alive there's hope for you!

Tried to stay away from this thread to not further feed any possible flames (looks like hibari's still burning strong >_>), but wanted to add one last comment.

When you're evaluating signs of suicidal behavior, you really need to stretch your imagination to look for signs. By being complacent and disregarding possible clues because "well, he said he was fine" or "she sometimes forgets, it's not a big deal," you might miss a potential cry for help. It's very easy to look back after you know they are suicidal and think "oh, there were signs," but it's much harder to predict from a murky status quo.

Did I think the OP was suicidal? Not particularly. However, I don't think there's any harm in being a little overbearing... just in case. I would rather be thought of as a paranoid maniac in 100 similar threads than ignore 1 thread and wish I had been more helpful.

I think being depressed is a waste of energy. if you are going to use that energy to be sad, then maybe you get outside. like walk around a lake or something beautiful

At the risk of starting another /facepalm session, I urge you to go look up clinical depression, a psychological condition where your brain is unable to release the chemicals responsible for most positive feelings. People who are affected by clinical depression literally cannot feel happy; it's not something they choose to do.

the 3 reason most used reason to be depressed are these:
someone hurted you a loooot.
the world is ugly,evil,bad,etc...
you think ure useful for the world.

now tell me,why someone that has been hurted from someone that think useful and that think the world is evil ugly, would go outside?

myskaros:we're talking of normal depression,not clinical/chemical.
