Sora had just managed to lock the door when something slammed against it, just the once.
"Let me in, please! They're coming! Oh god, please, just open the door!"
Someone yelled from outside of the room.

The monitors didn't have a working view of the area just outside, but they did show an obvious increase in the number of zombies in the mall. Apparently, the people who had been infected earlier were starting to turn.

Room Contains:
-listed items
A more thorough would reveal:
-An operating manual for the monitor system
-an air duct vent opening, high in the wall
-a cardboard box, filled with pepper spray cans

Think think think think! Sora's eyes were wide with fear at the knowledge of someone attracting zombie attention towards her. I have to make him go away...now how did it work in that one episode...! That's right! They faked they were zombies which let them have a chance at getting through a horde. I just have to hope that I can keep it up well enough to make that guy think that I'm a zombie as well. Sora attempted her best to intimidate a moaning sound, I also have to start working on this security system. There's probably a manual, but Sora Lanherst doesn't need a manual! I've worked with things like this all the time! She tried to keep up the moaning while attempting to quietly begin using the cameras to try and get a better view of what was going on.
Spoiler:
Hopefully that wasn't too much in one turn.

Lydia and her friend were able to successfully remove the seats' cushions from where they were attached, although the rest of the seats remained attached to the floor. While this was going on, the zombie had attacked another passenger, and it was now turning its attention to Lydia...

Area Contains:
-same stuff~

Oh goodness. He is looking right at me. This cannot be good. Think. I got to think. Lydia looked around her. Her friend stood there holding a cushion. What are they about three inches thick? 19 inches wide, and 14 in the other direction?

The Zombie started to stumble towards Lydia. Crap. This really isn't working. Not enough time to find anything to fasten these with. At this point the zombie was a good five or so feet away. This sucks, but I am not ready to die.

"Sorry..."

Lydia grabs her friends arm and attempt to fling her toward the zombie.

"But... maybe you can cram that cushion in its mouth!

After Lydia's attempt to through her friend 'under the bus', she takes off running in the opposite direction, towards the Pilot's cabin. Wait... are there any security officers around? If so... why aren't they firing their guns?

Ashton (Roll: Really Lucky)

Ashton escaped the convenience store area without trouble, running with no particular destination. Eventually, he came across a large hill that was overlooking a part of town. There was a set of coin-operated binoculars.
From the binoculars, Ashton could view... the mall, some apartments, the sea, and the lighthouse.

Area Contains:
-coin operated binoculars
-handrail protecting from falling off the little cliff
-an ATM machine (powerless)
-some kid's playground equipment some distance away, near a small park

*Huff* *Huff* I-I think I should be s-safe now... *huff* pants Ashton as he arrives on a large hill. Seriously, what the fuck man?!?! What happened back at that store?! I just... says Ashton when he notices an ATM machine. Ashton walks over to check it out. After pushing a couple buttons, he comes to the realization that the machine is powered down. Ashton looks around hesitantly. Hmmm...seems quiet enough. Let's see what I can do. Ashton starts fiddling with the machine in the hopes that he can open it up and "borrow" some money. Damn, I'm gonna need some equipment to crack this bad boy. Let's see if I can find any "tools" around here. Upon searching the area Ashton notices a pair of coin-operated binoculars that catch his eye. Hey, I should use that to see what's going on around town. He rummages around his pockets for the remaining change from his recent purchase. Here we go says Ashton as he puts in the required currency into the binocular machine. Now let's see what's going on around town...

The Zombie on the beach looked around, but after some time, another survivor ran out of the backyard of a house, apparently just escaping from her own attackers only to come face to face with this new threat. Momentarily shocked, she tried stabbing the zombie in the eye, and while that was successful, her proximity to him allowed him to get a hold on her arm, pulling her down onto the sand.
After a short tussle in which the woman received several bites, she tried to limp away, towards Michael, but the zombie got a hand on her ankle. She fell hard, getting the breath knocked out of her, while the zombie climbed onto her back, with the butter-knife still sticking in its eye, and he tore a chunk out of her neck as he began to feast.

Beach Contains:
-Zombie!
-Woman Snack
-other things that were listed~

Michael watches the struggle with mild interest, but closes his eyes when the strange man begins the eat the weakling lady, deciding the sight would only make him hungry again. And the way the man went at the throat seemed to indicate he was most likely not in the mood to share. One thing was for certain though, the man hadn't come to swim or anything, which leaves Michael slightly disappointed. Even worse, sitting there was becoming boring. So, figuring the strange man had had enough to eat and was too injured to chase him, Michael gets to his feet and makes for the path to the road, bringing his bucket. Nothing to do on the beach any longer with no one for company, eh? He hopes any other strange men in the area have already eaten their breakfast and are in no mood for snacks. Or was it lunch? Michael wasn't very good at telling time and its passage; he soon simply forgot about it.
Go forth and set the world on fire.

TURN 3 Transition

Postby JerichoDeath » Sat Jul 21, 2012 11:55 am

Don't worry. Jericho is updating the thread just now.

... loading scene...

------

EDIT:

(TURN 2 results roll: Really Lucky)
Someone has lit the lighthouse beacon in a SOS pattern of flashes!

----

TURN 2 COMPLETE

TURN 3 BEGIN

----

Natalia Sofer (Roll: Worst Luck Possible)

Without having fully finished the barricade, nor the shock-prod (though, was pretty close with that one), Natalia was rudely interrupted by the banging on her door. Unluckly, this particular zombie seemed to be fairly strong, and the door crashed inward, slowed only by the chair and various other things that had been placed there. Unfortunately for Natalia, the zombie's head just happened to be turned her way when he entered, and any delaying action from the extremely interesting song was negated when the zombie recognized her as his next meal.
Then, the zombie fell to the ground, bouncing off of the chair. However, he did not even bother standing. Instead, he started to rush towards Natalia, as quickly as possible, on his hands and knees.

Room Contains:
-Zombie! ... in addition to the rest.
-tree
-rain coming in from the broken parts of the ceiling/wall

----

Rain Stratus (Roll: Unlucky)

After a few more banging noises, the door slammed open, and a single "zombie-like" individual, with blood pouring from her mouth, starting running towards Rain, with dubious intentions, no doubt.

Room Contains:
-Zombie!
-other listed things

After a closer inspection:
-Wooden Chair, padded seat
-wooden desk
-wooden shelf, with metal braces
-picture frames on walls, generic images in them
-the ground, outside the first-floor window

----

Vincent Cino (Roll: Really Unlucky, Second Choice of Action: Lucky)

While moving backwards, Vincent looked over his shoulder to see another two zombies on the stairs, not quite looking his way. On the other hand, the two zombies eating the girl must have felt some sort of premonition. They looked up, and Vincent, being the sharp guy that he is, took immediate action; He fired two shots at the zombies ahead of him. One shot took one in the head, killing him instantly. The other shot clipped the second zombie's collarbone, knocking him over long enough for Vincent to enter the Neighbor's Apartment.
With the door locked behind him, zombies banging on it to no immediate effect, had Vincent now made it to a new heaven?
Moments after his arrival into the apartment's entrance hall, Vincent was greeted with someone's speech.
"M-Mr. Cino!? Oh, god. You're alive! I-..."

A girl's silhouette appeared some ten feet away. Judging by the voice, it was the neighbor's seventeen-year-old daughter; The older of the two kids. What was her name? Oh yeah, it was Alissa Browning. She was clutching at her arm, but her expression was obscured by the light behind her. Apparently, she had lit a bunch of candles in the living room.

Room Contains:
-girl, Alissa
-welcome mat
-shoes
-door

----

Sora Lanherst (Roll: Unlucky)

Hearing the moaning, the man cursed.
"They got in the security room too?! ... no, wait. Stay back... I... I have money... here, just- ahh-ughhaghgh!"

The man's scream of pain was cut off abruptly, replaced by the moaning of several possible "Zombies".

Meanwhile, Sora soon found that the security system was rather limited in the number of working cameras. In particular, the stationary camera that viewed the outside of the office was nonfunctional, requiring a physical inspection to fix whatever was wrong with it.

Room Contains:
-things listed
-sounds of zombies

----

Lydia (Roll: Neutral)

While her friend did attempt to block the zombie through the use of the cushion, her efforts were not enough, and she got herself a bite to the neck as she cursed Lydia for her action.
Meanwhile, although Lydia did succeed in delaying the Zombie, she found the thin door to the pilot's cabin to be locked shut to prevent intrusion.

Area Contains:
-locked, thin door
-bitten friend in the background
-listed things from before

----

Ashton (Roll: Worst Luck Possible)

Ashton viewed, and he saw that, with the exception of the beach and lighthouse, the entire island seemed to be crawling with zombies. It was only a matter of time before those quiet places, like the street from minutes ago and here, were overrun too.
... in fact, it had already begun. When Ashton's time ran out for the machine, a glance would tell him that a group of six zombies were coming from the park, and they were headed his way fast!

Area Contains:
-listed things
-path down into the madness of the rest of the island

----

Michael Rogers (Roll: Really Unlucky)

The movements of Michael quickly drew the attention of the zombie on the beach, and he got up from his meal to started limp-running towards Michael! Part of the way towards Michael, the zombie's eye popped out of its socket, due to the stabbing, and it hung there from the various fleshy bits still attached.

Area Contains:
-listed things
-Wounded Zombie!
-Dead Woman...

...that was too close. Cino looked up at Alissa upon gathering his bearings. "Yeah, barely... listen, we don't have much time." he explained. He glanced at her arm for a moment from across the room, and began to furrow his brow. ...I hope that's just a nervous tick. I don't want to have to leave her behind. "You have access to the fire escape, right? Those monsters are right out the door, and our only chance for survival is taking the fire escape. Do you understand?" he questioned.

He began to inch up to her, his gun lowered, showing that he had no killing intent. "Listen, I need to know if you're injured. Once I know if, and how you got injured, I can figure out where we'll go first, alright? Were you bitten?" he asked. Tell the truth. I won't kill you if you were bitten, not unless you really wanted to be. Honestly, that's the more humane thing to do... but I won't do it against her will. That goes against what I believe in. "I'm not going to let those things kill you, alright? I just need to know if you're injured, and how. Just trust me." he pleaded, his voice lowered. He tried to be as calm and friendly as possible, while still getting across the absolute direness of the situation.

Spoiler:
OoC: Everyone is fucked. My god... I don't see how this is going to last the twenty turns. I think I'm sitting in the best condition, but I'm well aware how quickly that can change.

"Whoa."
He was a tad surprised by the look of the... creature in front of him.
But he kept his usual cool.

This... thing here looks kinda dead.
He sent a quick glance at his knife, then at the laptop lying on the table.
Escape or fight off the creature?

A hard choice.
He didn't feel like leaving his beloved laptop behind, so he decided to confront the creature.

Let's see now... It doesn't seem to be the most sane and balanced enemy.
And it's running... Isn't that just perfect?
I'll bait it by standing in one place. When it attempts to attack me, I'll just swiftly move to the side while putting a leg to it, making it trip.

He already switched to a fighting stance from which moving to the side quickly will prove extremely efficient.

While it'll be crawling on the floor, or whatever the heck it knows to do, I shall have a chance to do some stuff...
And so, his fighting tactic was set in motion...
Click the pics. Don't ask why. Just DO IT.

Michael stops walking, scoops the bucket through the sand so that it fills partway, then makes a thrusting motion with it towards the strange man, flinging the sand out towards him. He aims the burst for its other eye in an attempt to blind it. As soon as the sand leaves the bucket, he continues running for the path, looking back over his shoulder to check if the strange man is still pursuing him.
This day is becoming rather exciting. He notes vaguely.
He notices the dead woman still lying in the dust.
He just left her there? What a perfectly good waste of a woman.
Go forth and set the world on fire.

"Darn! the security room's a bust! Man, they keep this place worse than they do back at my highschool!" Sora let out a frustrated sigh. I guess I'll just have to grab some of those cans and stuff them in my bag and get moving up that airduct... So she grabbed some of the cans and then looked around for something to climb up, it really sucks being so short...I just hope nothing gets in here while I set up my escape...

Natalia shrieked in fear of this sight, but swiftly acted in the best way to expiate herself from this nightmare. In a single fluid motion, she shouldered her backpack and grabbed the umbrella with her left hand. Using the opened umbrella, not quite the weapon she intended but still riddled with electrical hazards, as a shield, she made her way toward the nearest window with the intention of opening it and exiting through it. She was hopeful that this escape could be made before her aggressor reached her. She was also hopeful that were it to reach her, the umbrella would stall it long enough for her escape; nevertheless, were it to fail, she was prepared to take the frying pan and strike it in the face.
