You know, sprites never have this issue.

Well normally you don't have 12-14 characters in a standard RPG party either

Is 'chibi' the proper term to refer to characters like this? If it is, I really think SE needs to hire CH to make the chibi characters next time they try to do something like Theatrhythm or another DS remake.

FFVI has never been in Chibi style.

You mean III and IV? Those were good remakes.

I didn't like the style of them though ._.

This. I love FFVI, but if the only remake they will do is a chibi DS remake, I would rather not have it.

No. I own the DS III simply because there is no other retail release of III for the U.S.A., but I will never buy the DS IV. It just looks awful, and those few awesome cinematics don't make up for ridiculous looking characters in the rest of the game. I own the SNES original, the PS1 port, and the Complete Collection for the PSP, and all three versions look better to me.

I like the chibi style in games like Mugen Souls, but I just don't think SE knows how to make good chibi characters. Obviously this is something just left to opinion though. The chibi characters in Theatrhythm however just looked awful, though I suppose that is just opinion as well.

Well, your comparing a PS3 game and a DS game. They can't do the same stuff.

True, but I can compare it to other DS games as well. Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume had better chibi art style than the SE DS remakes as well.

Addendum: Also I know SE can do it, they pulled it off with the FFT series.

It's easier to make Moe type chibi character than more realistic type chibi's..

I've seen that word a lot, but I'm not comfortable enough with it's meaning to understand your statement. What does 'moe' mean?

Hmmm. Kind of like a overload of cuteness in a character. It's kind of hard to explain really, that's the best way i can say it.

I didn't know moe even had a definition, I thought it was just one of those words you threw around and people infer the gist of what you mean.
