Meh, the new ones that came in didn't disturb me at all...it was when a message mini-game was mentioned, of course, that seemed to be a false rumor or something, I dunno...like I said, I still support it, and will, unless the gameplay looks horrible :P

Vert, Mk2 wasn't nearly as bad as we all thought it would be. <_<
All those promo images, were just that, promotional art.

I've played through it six times, and if there is anything "over-the-top" I haven't seen it. The Tentacle bondage, a dogooey scene were hardly suggestive, and at most just blatant fan service.

I'd be more worried about the dialogue being more suggestive than those images..

ie: Any scene with Trick the Hard

Anyone who is offended by Neptune or Mk2 is obviously a feminist and hates the games because the portrayal of "young girls" is offensive and distasteful.

Give me a fucking break, even our commercials are more suggestive than some of Japan's games are.

Well then, I guess that is the problem of the people you are around, not your fault they are a bunch of closed minded individuals with puritanical beliefs, right? =P

Also, I love how you all keep saying "Massage" is "Message". xD

I'm totally with you guys, Mizu & Vert

Those **insert your own perception here** images are probably just promo image in the visual book that comes with the first print of the game.
I do have confidence in game company to know what they're doing, this game is not Queen's Blade, and in most games from CH, 5Pb, NIS, if there is girl bathing scene, they won't go far like some doujin games (at least I haven't seen any so far), they are still conscious enough that they're making official game and not stuff just for fan service. (We're not playing Queen's Blade or Ikkitousen here, remember!)

The reason we're panicking is more like how American market is stereotype, or they're simply trying to make J-game looks bad by making false assumptions.
Like Neptunia review from certain game reviewers (soccer moms...), even Atelier Rorona review was outlined with [NISA's new RPG has busty teenagers, perverted old men, perverted old women, and perverted young women. But does it have a game worth playing?] by IGN, I mean, WTF??? Really, perverted woman as referencing Astrid maybe, but where's perverted old men and young women? I played through that game several times and never came across one. Did those reviewers REALLY PLAYED THE GAME? Or simply assumed the whole thing based on [it's a J-game with young girl with cute voice] and concluded that [it must be full of perverted stuff because it's from Japan]?
Let's see what they have to say when they see Haggel's nipple in Atelier Meruru :?

Anyway, I have confidence that CH knows were to draw the line. And about those yellow tapes on the image, from my anime experience, the yellow tapes actually amplifies the effect rather than decreasing it, most of the time when they took them off in the DVD/BD release, the same scene/image becomes MUCH LESS suggestive. Strange? Not really, an entirely naked body is much less suggestive than a half naked one, that's simply how human brains work; they fill the holes automatically, so if there is no hole, there won't be "suggestions".

I want to make a joke about filling holes and not finding a hole so badly...

It's fine, just the fact I have seen it so much in this thread, it's become somewhat comical to read. I mean no ill will by pointing it out, I am just really observant is all. =P

@LAMV- LMFAO, so I wasn't the only one who got that impression from "filling holes", eh?

@Ramsus- Don't get me wrong, that was a very well thought out, a decently worded post. It's just that one bit stood out a bit more that the rest, just the way my mind works. =/

@Vert- Puritanical refers to someone with an extreme sense of righteousness or high morality. Well that's the gist of it...

Also, for the record, I am a Christian and yet look at me!
I like my ecchi, perversion, and anime girls just as much as any other otaku.

I don't get why there are so many people that think anime and manga are so sacrilegious/immoral, you'd have to think that these people realize that as well...

No one is perfect, after all.

Edit: I have no clue why I just posted that bit about myself... I must be tired, so uh, sorry if that offends anyone. Since I know it could... and sorry for bringing that into a topic like this... ^^;

Well said!~ Pretty much describes me as well. ;)

Some people are just overly conservative. It's not just religious people either. Those types of people should realize it's a game, anime, movie, etc. And not real life.

Real life is quite different this is true.

@ramsus
Generally they're just being a tease, but those images were of them taking a bath. Generally, you don't take a bath with a swimsuit on, it sorta defeats the purpose. But, it's supposed to be an onsen, so it's hard to say.

I'm starting to believe the 'massage mini-game' was just a suspicion the JP folks have about this game, and not some leaked info.

I'm glad, seeing as like I said, I'll give IF games a chance, but massage mini-games throw me off, so it's got my support still, for now

@mizu-lol im a christian and i cant even SEE how that could offend me  i dont think christianity is a super hardcore, give your life away religion anyway.

And yeah i dont see the point on making a game like this overly perverted when they have tons of eroge content there =P
but i guess when CH FOCUSES on the adult male audience, they have to make the game (or the promo's) ecchi as possible

@Prinapocalypse- Thanks! I wasn't quite sure if that would be taken well; since usually I'd get ranted at, but I am happy to know it wasn't... out there. Lol

I see, I see, seems like there are a lot of people like me. Which should have come as no surprise, but still interesting nonetheless. =P

That's pretty much how it is in Japan, ecchi sales, been proven time and time again. Why else does every anime have a small bit of fanservice, a cute female lead, or a large harem? :3

It will be questionable for audiences here, but what media that comes from Japan; other than moe-blob, isn't?

I'd say it's pretty balanced this way. Square-Enix these days live to target female fans/yaoi fangirls. What with all the super pretty boys and the homolust/yaoi subtext. Especially in Kingdom Hearts. Sure it isn't ecchi, but I imagine some male fans may have a harder time playing them when Pretty Shota Boy #1 is crying and bawling looking like he's going to kiss Pretty Shota Boy #2 while completely skipping and ignoring the woman he was supposed to have been trying to save all this time.
