Does NIS America offer replacement cases and manuals?

Postby Sano » Fri May 25, 2012 3:13 am

I have a large collection of NIS America games, and one of the games I missed out on buying when it was released, was Trinity Universe.

I saw the store does not sell it anymore. So I looked and asked around, and a nearby gamestop has the game preowned but does not have the Original Case or Manual. Being as I mostly like to put them in a collection once beaten, thats a big issue for me. So I was wondering if NIS America offers replacements for the Manual and Game case, of course I'm willing to pay if I have to.

please respond soon, thanks.

Since it is an out of print title, I'm going to say "no". The only way they could possibly have a replacement, would be if the game was still in print. The cost of going out and making ONE manual and cover art would be too much... Especially since you bought a used copy, in which none of the money even went to Nisa (OOP, so cannot be helped though). Now, if you bought it when it was still in print and you bought a new copy, and say it got damaged, that would be a different case altogether.

honestly I prefer buying it new when I can.
But the only place I can buy it new is Amazon, but they sell it for a very hefty price. Or ebay, but I have a large bad history with ebay...

This really sucks...I might have to bite the bullet and buy from Amazon.

Thanks for answering quickly :D

If the Gamestop price was more in your favor, you can always look on their website for a listing of other closeby stores that might have one. This is what I do when looking for rare (and cheap) PS2 games. I'll call and make sure that they do have it (website isn't always up to date) and then ask if it comes with the case and manual. If it's far away for you, you can always ask them to mail it to a close location.

I hope that from now on, you do start preorder titles you are interested in! I've been in that position before, finding rare games after the fact, so I know what it's like (and why I urge people to preorder! Plus it's good for Nisa's sake too, so they can keep bringing us great titles^^)

Yeah I tend to always preorder and buy from NIS America website, I like to give them full support whenever I can. But Trinity Universe came out at a bad time for me, had a surgery and was stuck in bed for months without working before and after it came out, and then completely forgot about the game till now.

Calling Gamestops is actually what I tend to do, I call them and ask them if they have it. I live in NYC so I have tons of options. But only 2 out of 15+ gamestops I called has it, and the 2 that do have it, does not have the case and manual.

Although funny thing is I called a certain Gamestop, the guy over the phone checked the computer or something and he quickly said they dont have it. But out of curiosity I tried the Gamestop Online Hold system, since i never tried it before, and that same gamestop gives me an e-mail notifying me that they do have it and are holding it for me. (all in the same day) :| That urks me a little, I really hope I wasn't lied to and it turns out half the time that I've called gamestop, the employees just brush me off to avoid helping me.

The first NISA LE I brought was Disgaea 4, which I brought ad Gamestop (Wish I had read NISA forum about FA Flonne and pre-order ad them), since my Copy missed the Art book and when I try to contact Gamestop, did they just give me a Extra Code for FA Flonne (which I still have laying around), since that day have I always brought from NISA + LE has since Neptunia MK-2 only been available ad them.

This also help NISA, since they cut a middle man (Gamestop example) + they also have best Pre-order bonus :)

International First Class Shipping Options

*** We will no longer be replacing or refunding damaged and/or lost shipments for customers who select USPS First Class as their shipping method. USPS First Class International is cheaper than our other shipping methods, however it comes with little to no tracking information. Due to our new policy, you will be choosing that shipping method at your own risk. We are very sorry that we can no longer replace or refund these shipments with this method, but we cannot afford to continue to ship internationally without adopting this change in policy. We thank you for your understanding. ***

You still have an unused FA Flonne code? Dude, you should ebay that thing!

Or give it to me, either way.

Yes consider Ebay the Code, since it goes for $25-$35 on Ebay, but kinda been to lazy to get it done.
IF just some of my friends play Disgaea 4 (US), then I could give them it.

As mentioned, because it's an out-of-print game we don't really have any extra cases laying around. In the case of in-stock titles there's always a chance we can replace it, depending on availability and all that.
