Of course you keep the levels; what'cha think the Total Level count is for? Whenever you leave a dungeon, you keep the added levels.

"Exit" isn't like a Mr. Gency Exit, where you can go back in. Also, going back in at a later floor would be very, VERY likely to result in killing you, so that's probably for the best.

And if you think equipment is weird now, just wait 'till you see what else pops up... XD

At least if I exited I'd have the chance to boost my gear and keep +25 stats. As I already lamented to you last night, though, I opted not to save; losing multi-star gear is not my idea of a good time :/

Hm, I don't know. I guess I thought you lost your stats as well as items.
Makes sense.

Wow, really? lol

Keep training... and use the devices... XD

I think Chapter 4 is the first time serious grinding is necessary, but it does feel rewarding once you finally beat it. ^^

Total level: 128...over 1000 attack, 900 defense, and 600 hit/speed...I just screwed up is all

The enemies don't even damage me >.>

Defense does help. yes. Especially in those "swarm" fights. It's kind of like Prototype, really.

I meant over 1000 attack, not 100  so edited, woo!

Spoiler:
But yeah, it's due to the freakin knight that I failed...got to the general part, but missed some enemies that snuck up behind him and almost killed him...I used an exit to escape :P

I BEAT CHAPTER 4!!! Oh. My. God.

Spoiler:
Darc, you just need to kill all the monsters, don't need to go get the general.

But man, Ryukan was at like 15% HP and I couldn't pick up an Ointment to throw on him for some reason. Holy balls.

Recently reached Chapter 4. I'm thinking about trying to upgrade Lilliel's Divinagram before I go any further, but I doesn't seem very necessary at the moment.
EDIT:Is Chapter 4 really that bad?

...Why would you not be upgrading the Divinigram? o.O You should. You definitely should.

The first 9 floors are like someone holding out a piece of candy in front of you, then the boss is them punching you in the face then walking away cackling.

Martial Arts Dungeon: Intermediate GET.

I'm seeing 3-star items even early on here (they appeared in the last 10 floors of the Beginner mode), so that should help me buff up my Divinigram fairly nicely. ^^ Maybe a few quick runs for items, then running through the Beginner mode to Floor 40...?

I think I see the problem with chapter 4 now...
Spoiler:
It's less of a problem with staying alive and more of a problem keeping the knight alive.
On the bright side though, it seems like every time I go back through previous levels to grind for more equipment, I manage to find new items that I didn't get the first few times I ran through them.
Although I can't seem to find a Fire Wand after the second time I lost one.
