Haven't played anything else in a while. Might continue AC: Revelations today as well. :)

How is it? I have a 360 for Witcher 2, but I don't trust random opinions :P

Thanks, was too lazy to search, since I didn't really think about it lately until Prin mentioned the first one :P

I can already vouch for the second one, despite only being the in the first chapter.
Although you'll get much more out of it if you've played the first one, and you can import your save to boot, which brings some of your gear through.

My PC isn't strong enough to play the PC version sadly, so if I got it, I'd have to get the 360 version

Well, even just playing the first one will help you with a greater understanding of the setting and such. The import bonuses are nice, but quickly get outclassed even if you got the best weapons in the game, (well, my steel sword was anyway, silver sword's still better than everything else currently).
Although the first game is horribly optimised, so it's a bit of nightmare to run too.

The reqs. for The Witcher aren't that steep, are they? I'd still suggest you play the second game regardless. There are some solid connections between the two, but the second still stands on its own. Elsewise I don't think CD Projekt RED would have released it on 360 in the first place.

Minimum system requirements: Windows XP, Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz or AMD Athlon 64 +2800, 1 GB RAM for Windows XP, 1.5 GB for Vista, NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or ATI Radeon 9800 or better, 8.5 GB available hard drive space, DirectX 9.0c compliant soundcard

Minimum requirements for the first game. They've probably changed since the enhanced edition was released.

I'm still playing Dragon's Dogma: another one of those titles that like to pad hours by hefting needless running onto your shoulders. It's already beginning to grow dull (again), especially given the Monster Hunter bludgeon, bludgeon, bludgeon, evade, bludgeon, bludgeon, bludgeon, evade, repeat one hundred times style of attacking the more behemoth beasts.

But I suppose it's better than wasting $65. The opening theme is pretty neat. And I can use a mace. Even if that means crippling the knight class by not using a shield and only running around with a mace.

Reached chapter 5 in Mk2, thankfully Cave's such a boss, making it quite a bit easier.

Now I'm thinking if I should make a seperate save for all the endings or not.

Holy hell, no wonder why I had so may terrible games of Best Friends 3 while playing on our 47" tv, there's an noticeable as hell lag between my inputs and what I see on screen.

I didn't give much thought to it when I was playing BF3, but damn is it noticeable now that I'm playing D4 on it right this minute. I'm playing D4 right now btw.

Okay; so get this...

Apparently, in the retail version of Windows 8, you can earn Xbox Live achievements by playing games designed for Windows 8.

While it is a little redundant, you probably already know what developers are going to do with this system, that is, if game developers can get past the atrocity of an interface that Windows 8 has...

Of course, that's not going to happen so easily...

That's all I can think about when I consider (don't consider) Windows 8 as an upgrade.

Looking at the preview, it's not a bad setup. But it just caters too much to things I couldn't care less about. But, to the target audience, it seems pretty compatible. Course, I've not downloaded the preview or anything, just watched videos. Could work way worse than it looks.

Plus...Live sucks. Whether it's MSN/Xbox/whatever. it sucks.

There's also the issue that they've taken several steps backward where multi-tasking is concerned. They're trying to make it like a damn iPhone instead of a PC. Seriously. It's single-tasking now. Unless they go about a massive overhaul, I'll skip 8 just like I did Vista and ME.

As far as Live is concerned, I'm inclined to agree. I just didn't feel it'd contribute to state my opinion.

Though I'm not sure why this is in this thread. o.0
