It's region-free.

It seems they learned their lesson with the 3DS' launch. $300 is alot, but it seems like they're taking a hit on the console in order to make it up in accessories and games.

I'm disappointed in the controller costs...I mean, really? They're shooting themselves in the foot. Their marketing focus is "on the go, pickup and play gaming" but it doesn't match with the extremely high cost of extra controllers.

Poor battery life and a significant drop in GPU performance in undocked mode is another significant criticism. I do want improved graphical performance with this new system, but not at the expense of fidelity.

Also, that weak launch lineup...I'll just wait till Holiday 2017 at the earliest, when there's hopefully a holiday game bundle OR (preferably) when they do a revision with better performance undocked and better battery life.

Region free doesn't do much good when the games in the language I understand are censored. So great that its region free, but ultimately doesn't help Nintendo of America's censorship practices.

this has flopping all over it.

because its expensive for the low tech that is packing in (300 dollar tablet lol)
joy cons feels really small

overpriced extra controls

gimmicks like the joycon HD thingy in which you can play with other people without staring at the screen

few games at launch, drought of games through out the year (zelda looks amazing, btw)

lots of ports that have been in other consoles before (disgaea 5,skyrim,fifa among others)

low battery life for a hybrid tablet system 2-5 hrs?

predict that it will have a strong launch among the ninty fans in both japan and the west but after launch i cant see them capturing other types of players

Question: Ninty will most likely include system updates in their future software titles, yes?

I saw that the Switch doesn't come with a web browser at launch, so I won't be able to use wifi access that requires browser-based authentication (i.e. McDonald's, Starbucks, etc...).... :?
