As far as I know Barnes and Nobles still has some stores. I know there is at least one near spoon as I went there while I was on vacation and I'm pretty sure there is still the one an hour away from me.

Barnes and Noble is still open, probably because they got on the e-reader train faster than Borders did. Borders also charged the full MSRP on just about everything.

Ew, why? Retail's a big no-no in the first place (buy online for discounts) and Borders is stingy with their discounts. I hated buying there more than any other chain. Honestly, I think they brought their closure on themselves. They didn't do enough to separate themselves from their competitors.

I noticed the borders in the mall was gone when I went to buy new shoes last week, that's where I bought all my .hack manga from granted I stopped buying them cause all my entertainment budget is swallowed up by vidja games, but yea that was the only place other than Suncoast which also closed where I could buy manga from.

That's why I wasn't impressed. I can go to Right Stuf or Amazon and get 25+% off without a coupon, tax free, with free shipping over $25 at Amazon or over $49 at Right Stuf. Never saw the point in giving Borders my business.
