I've actually thought E3 has been rocking in the recent years, only thing I don't like is Rockstar never going to it anymore. Sony has pretty much been dominating E3 since 08 IMO, so yea I always look forward to what games they show I'm hoping Naughty Dog is there with more of The Last of US.

Yeah, Sony usually seems to have the best stuff at E3, at least I think so anyways

You know, I didn't even realize that Rockstar hasn't gone... Like they really need the publicity :p Their titles sell themselves, and everyone knows about them (and every game they release gets a big ad on the side of buses).

I'm looking forward to seeing more on The Last of Us, PlayStation Battle Royale, Bioshock Infinite, Resident Evil 6, Borderlands 2 and hopefully The Last Guardian.

But even more so I'm looking forward to the surprises, the unannounced games and new features and partnerships and things like that.

All I'll say is that Sony had better come out with a Vita in each fist and come out swinging; the situation on both the hardware and software side of things is dire. If there isn't a lot in the works for the Vita, it's going to get sunk.

I can't wait to see what JRPGs are going to appear for Vita. I think I might cry!

The Vita's software line-up is slowly starting to look better. I wouldn't count it out just yet.

But Sony needs to cut it out with their watered down versions of flagship console games like Uncharted and Resistance. Those kinds of games are a really good way disappoint players and make your handheld system seem inferior to the console.

Instead I think they should be making more stuff like Gravity Rush and Soul Sacrifice. Those games are very interesting because they appear to play to the system's strengths and there's no grander console version to compare them to.

Yeah, from what some people have said, the Uncharted for Vita is pretty bad compared to the console versions...so I think that they should avoid moving console games on to the Vita, or else it will shatter people's expectations

I'm looking forward to: Playstation All Stars, Borderlands 2, maybe some DMC, so I can tell if I'm gonna like it or not...even with the gameplay videos, I'm not convinced that I will...never heard of Last Guardian, except that Gamestop accidentally sent out emails that it was cancelled

It's great they decided not to show FFXIV 2.0 at E3 since E3 will be swamped with big hyped announcements, FFXIV 2.0 deserves it's own center stage independant from E3.

http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/46535

besides, by timing the new trailer with the flood of marketing, they can boost interest AND MAINTAIN interest since the beta would be closer to their marketing push, so overall that is a smarter tactic than releasing a trailer at E3 which won't inform people of the complete nature, features and improvements XIV 2.0 will have.

as history has shown, E3 is not the only way to market and sell successfully.

And especially for a genre like mmorpg, online communities will still be hyped for the trailer and XIV 2.0 when they see it in August when that is also the time the website and greater amount of media and information will be available to really show it's much more than what the trailer hints at.

They will still be there at E3 to answer questions I think so that can actually be more informative than a trailer, since people would have to wait months for the beta anyway. So better to keep the marketing, trailer and beta much closer to each other for a stronger and more successful marketing impact!! ^_^

MMOs are RARELY shown at E3 anyways...though saying that FFXIV, after already being a failure once, deserves it's own spotlight is kinda pushing it
