Ehh, it was my fault for starting all this. I really did think (thought?) that the PSP was bigger in Japan than the DS. Also, I haven't played it and can only go by initial info and screenshots, but the original 7th Dragon seemed to be more medieval rather than the modern/near-future Tokyo that 2020 was advertising, which is why I suggested that maybe fans might have liked the latter setting more.
